Եթե մի կողմը ոչ թե խաղաղ կարգավորման է պատրաստվում, այլ անընդհատ ագրեսիվություն է ցուցաբերում, այդ խոսակցության տոնի համար համապատասխան մթնոլորտ նշանակում է չկա, եւ համաշխարհային հանրությունը պետք է սա արձանագրի: Բրյուսելի օդանավակայանում լրագրողների հետ ճեպազրույցում, որը հեռարձակվել է «Ազատության» ուղիղ եթերում, այս մասին հայտարարել է ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը՝ անդրադառնալով Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդրին:

Վարչապետը նաեւ հավելել է, որ մենք մեր հերթին պետք է արձանագրենք այս իրավիճակը եւ պատրաստ լինենք ցանկացած զարգացման:

Լրագրողի հարցին, թե Հայաստանի եւ Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախարարների առաջին հանդիպումից հետո այդ իրավիճակի որոշակի փոփոխություն, դինամիկա կա՞, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը պատասխանել է. «Ես չեմ կարծում, թե ԱԳ նախարարների հանդիպումը շրջադարձային է: Հանդիպում է եղել, շփում է եղել, ըստ էության՝ առաջին շփումը այս թեմայի շուրջ, եւ որեւէ պարագայում առաջին շփումներից մեծ արդյունքներ ակնկալելը ճիշտ չէ: Դրանք արժեքավոր են այնքանով, որ տեղի է ունենում շփում, ծանոթություն»:

«Նույնը կարող եմ ասել նաեւ իմ հանդիպումների մասին: Իհարկե, շատ լայն շրջանակ ստացվեց ծանոթությունների, եւ սա կարող ենք արձանագրել որպես այդ այցի արդյունք: Ընդհանուր առմամբ՝ որոշակի պայմանավորվածություններ ձեռք բերվեցին, հրավերներ եղան, Հայաստան գալու պատրաստակամություններ արձանագրվեց, մասնավորապես՝ Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակում: Այնպես որ՝ այս այցը կարելի է համարել ծանոթությունների, անձնական կոնտակտների հաստատման այց: Սրանով, ըստ էության, կարող ենք այցի նպատակը իրագործված համարել»,- հավելել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:

Ինչ վերաբերում է Ադրբեջանի նախագահի հետ հանդիպման հնարավորությանը. վարչապետն ասել է՝ այս պահին նման որեւէ խոսակցություն չկա:
