Սպիտակաթույր ատամները դեռ առողջ լինելու նշան չեն

Իդեալական ճերմակությունն ատամների առողջ լինելու նշան են:
Իրականում այդպես չէ:
Բնության մեջ չկան միաժամանակ իդեալական սպիտակ և առողջ ատամներ: Սպիտակաթույր ատամները հիվանդ ատամների նշան են՝ կալցիումի քանակի պակասի պատճառով:
Վաղ ժամանակներից համարվել է, որ ատամները պետք է շլացուցիչ սպիտակ լինեն: Այդ նպատակով մարդիկ հատուկ միջոցներ են գնում և օգտագործում : Այդպիսի ժողովրդական միջոցներ են սոդան, կիտրոնի հյութը, ինչպես նաև ջրածնի պերօքսիդը և այլն: Երբեմն արդյունքը ցավալի է լինում: Նման սպիտակեցնող «միջոցառումներից» հետո մաշվում է ատամների էմալը, ճեղքեր են առաջանում, վնասվում են լնդերը, լորձաթաղանթի այտուցներ են առաջանում, զարգանում է ակտիվ կարիես և այլն:
Ոչ բոլոր դեպքերում է, որ ատամների վրա առաջացած դեղնավուն փառը ատամի հիվանդություն է նշանակում: Կան մարդիկ, որոնց ատամները բնականից դեղնավուն են, բացի այդ, ատամը գույնը կարող է փոխել, օրինակ, ֆտորի ավելցուկից, որոշ դեղեր ընդունելուց (օրինակ՝ տետրացիկլին), ծխելուց, թեյ և սուրճ շատ օգտագործելուց և այլն: Այս բոլոր դեպքերում ատամները սպիտակեցնելը ոչ մի արդյունքի չի բերում, նույնիսկ հակառակը՝ վնասում է: Ատամի փառը, իհարկե, պետք է հեռացվի, բայց միայն մասնագետ ատամնաբույժի կողմից: Երևի թե սպիտակաթույր ատամներ ստանալու միակ մեթոդը ատամները հատուկ թաղանթով պատելն է, որը և, ի դեպ, կատարում են աստղերը: Բայց դա շատ թանկ է և, բացի այդ ,պահանջում է ատամների նախնական մշակում, այսինքն՝ ատամի թուլացում: Ներկայումս չինացի գիտնականները առաջարկում են ատամները սպիտակեցնելու համար օգտագործել տիտանի դիօքսիդի նանոմասնիկներ (բարձր տեխնոլոգիաները նաև ատամներին հասան), որոնք անվնաս են և գունազրկում են ատամի փառը: Կարևորն այն է, որ նանոմասնիկները էմալը չեն քայքայում, ինչպես մնացած սպիտակեցնող նյութերը:
Սպիտակ ատամներ ունենալու համար ընդամենը պետք է ամեն օր մաքրել ատամները և հետևել՝ եթե գույնը փոխել են, պարզել պատճառը: Ատամները պետք է առողջ և ամուր լինեն, իսկ ահա իդեալական սպիտակ լինելը պարտադիր չէ:
