Արևմուտքում արդեն ակտիվ շրջանառվում է այն վարկածը, որ Եգիպտոսում A321-ը վթարվել է բեռնախցիկում տեղադրված ռումբի պայթյունի հետևանքով: 
Ի դեպ այս պնդումն արդեն ոչ թե ներայացվում է, որպես վարկած, այլ գրեթե ապացուցված ու անհերքելի փաստ: Այս մասին խոսում են CNN-ը, reuters-ը, the guardian-ը մի խոսքով շատ շատերը, կային մի շարք վերլուծականներ, որոնց հիմքում հիմնականում դրված էր ռումբի պայթյունի թեզը:

Հետաքրքիրն այն էր, որ նույն ձևով, ոչ վաղ անցյալում շրջանառվում էր ԻՊ կողմից ցամաքից խոցելու վարկածը: Անընդհատ խոսում էին, որ ինքնաթիռը խոցել են ԻՊ-ականները` ցամաքից, սակայն ոչ մի խոսք չէր ասվում այն մասին, թե ունեն արդյոք նրանք այնպիսի զենք Եգիպտոսի այդ շրջանում, որպեսզի այդքան բարձր տարածության վրա կարողանային խփել, իհարկե դեռ ոչ ոք չգիտի: Նման թեզերը ամենաշատը հերքվում է Եգիպտոսի պաշտոնական և ոչ պաշտոնական աղբյուրների կողմից, շատ հասկանալի պատճառներով:

Ռուսներն էլ չեն հերքում ահաբեկչության վարկածը, բայց, հիմնական շեշտը դրված է տեխնիկական խնդիրների վրա: Որպես ապացույց, «Когалымавиа» ընկերությունը դադարեցրել է բոլոր A321 ինքնաթիռների թռիչքները: Պարզ է, որ այս կերպ ուզում են լրացուցիչ անգամ ցույց տալ, որ ահաբկչության վարկածը, որը առաջ է քաշվում արևմուտքի կողմից, իրենց համար միանշանակ չէ և ամեն դեպքում տեխնիկական զննում են իրենք անկացնում:
Բացի դա ռուսական մամուլն անընդհատ հանդես է գալիս նեյտրալ վերլուծություններով, միանշանակ չհամարելով ոչ մի վարկած: Այս ամենի ֆոնին, սակայն ԻՊ-ականների կողմից հայտարարություն տարածելուց հետո, ռուսները պաշտոնական մի քանի աղբյուրներով հերքեցին տարածվող հայտարարությունը: 
Էլ չեմ ասում, թե ռուսներն ինչպես էին վստահաբար գրում այն մասին, որ սա ոչ ահաբեկչություն է ոչ էլ ԻՊ-ի ձեռքի գործը, քանի որ նրանք այդպիսի զենք չունեն:

Կարծում եմ դեռ երկար հակասական կարծիքներ կկարդանք թե արևմուտքի և թե ռուսների կողմից, մինչև այս խնդիրը վերջապես պարզ դառնա:
Ամեն դեպքում վարկածները բազմաթիվ են, ու բազմատեսակ, բայց այս երկուսը կարելի համարել հիմնական շրջառվող թեզեր:

Հ.Գ.Մի քանի օր առաջ New York Times-ի վերլուծություններից մեկում առիթը բաց չէին թողել մի հավեսով կծելու համար: Ամբողջ վերլուծությունը նվիրված էր զոհերին, ԻՊ հայտարարություններին, իսկ արանքում մի տեղ խոսում էր ռուսական ավիաընկերությունների վատ ռեպուտացիայի մասին: Մի քիչ ցեխ` ռուսների էրեսին, մի քիչ ցեխ էլ` իրենց արտադրանքի ու գործունեության:
