Հայաստանում կարմրուկի և կարմրախտի առումով համաճարակային իրավիճակը բարենպաստ է, սակայն տարիների ընթացքում (2007-2018) չպատվաստված կամ թերի պատվաստված անձանց կուտակումը կարող է սպառնալ երկրում հիվանդության հետվերադարձին և վարակի տեղական տարածմանը: Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարությունից, Հայաստանում ամեն տարի պատվաստվում է կարմրուկի դեմ պատվաստման ենթակաների շուրջ 96 տոկոսը:
2018 թվականի սկզբին Հայաստանում գրանցվել է կարմրուկի 17 բերովի դեպք (հավանական աղբյուրը կապվում է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունից ժամանած հյուրերի հետ):
Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության պաշտոնական տեղեկատվության համաձայն` աշխարհում շարունակվում է կարմրուկի տարածումը: Վարակի առումով անբարենպաստ համաճարակային իրավիճակ է ստեղծվել նաև Եվրոպայի մի շարք երկրներում` 2018 թվականի առաջին կեսին ավելի քան 41 հազար մարդ է հիվանդացել կարմրուկով: Սա գրեթե կրկնակի գերազանցում է վերջին ութ տարիների ամենաբարձր ցուցանիշը: Ամենից շատ` 23 հազար դեպք գրանցվել է Ուկրաինայում:
Առողջապահության նախարարությունը հերթական անգամ հիշեցնում է` կարմրուկի կանխարգելման միակ անվտանգ և արդյունավետ միջոցը պատվաստումն է: Միայն ժամանակին և լիարժեք (առնվազն 2 դեղաչափ) իրականացված պատվաստումները կարող են կանխել կարմրուկը և վերջինիս հետևանքով առաջացած բարդությունները:
Միաժամանակ, մասնագետները հորդորում են արտասահման մեկնելիս անպայման հաշվի առնել տվյալ երկրում առկա համաճարակային իրավիճակը` կանխավ անհրաժեշտ քայլեր ձեռնարկելով:
