«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Քաղաքաշինության կոմիտեի նախագահ Ավետիք Էլոյանն օրերս հրապարակային ելույթներից մեկում նշել էր, թե հիմա արդեն ոչ թե պալատներ, առանձնատներ ու եկեղեցիներ, այլ այգիներ ու համալսարաններ կառուցելու ժամանակն է։ Դե, ինչպես և սպասելի էր, Էլոյանի այս հայտարարությունը հերթական անգամ քննադատության առիթ է դարձել տարատեսակ մոլեռանդների համար, կարծես թե քաղաքաշինության կոմիտեի նախագահը անթույլատրելի ոտնձգություն է գործել քրիստոնեության կամ Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու նկատմամբ։ 

Իսկ արդյո՞ք յուրաքանչյուր սթափ դատող մարդ չպետք է համաձայնի քաղաքաշինության կոմիտեի նախագահի հետ, արդյո՞ք շատ շատերս չենք բողոքում ու քննադատում Հայաստանի սոցիալական վիճակի հետ որևէ աղերս չունեցող մեծահարուստներին՝ իրենց պալատների ու առանձնատների համար։ Կարծես թե քննադատում ենք։ Ինչ վերաբերում է եկեղեցուն, ապա երևի թե կեղծ հավատացյալների մի ողջ բազմություն այդպես էլ չի կարողանում հասկանալ, որ հավատը, կրոնը չի կարող նույնանալ նյութական շենք–շինության հետ։ Մեծ հաշվով, եկեղեցիների պակաս մենք երբեք էլ չենք ունեցել, քավ լիցի, թող հիմա էլ կառուցվեն, բայց արդյո՞ք եկեղեցիների քանակից ավելանում է հավատը, արդյո՞ք եկեղեցիների քանակով պայմանավորված մենք բոլորս սկսում են ավելի քրիստոնեավայել ապրել, վերջապես նույն այն մեծահարուստները, որոնք եկեղեցիներ են կառուցում, արդյո՞ք դառնում են ավելի մարդասեր և, այլաբանորեն ասած, ավելի են մոտենում Աստծուն։ Իսկ գուցե շատ ավելի աստվածահաճո գործ է Էլոյանի նշած համալսարանի կամ այգու կառուցո՞ւմը, գործարանի կառուցո՞ւմը։

Ընդհանրապես, խնդիրն իրականում ավելի խորն է, որովհետև տհաճ ու վտանգավոր միտումներն ավելի ու ավելի հաճախ են սկսում գլուխ բարձրացնել մի շարք նուրբ հարցերի շուրջ։ Անշուշտ, եկեղեցին ինչ–որ իմաստով առանձնահատուկ հենասյուն է՝ խոսքը շենքի մասին չէ, սակայն դա չի նշանակում, թե եկեղեցուն վերաբերող ցանկացած արտահայտություն, որը համատեքստից կտրելու դեպքում կարելի է քննադատել, պետք է հիստերիայի առիթ դառնա։ Այստեղ բոլորովին էլ խոսքը քաղաքաշինության կոմիտեի նախագահի ու նրա արտահայտությունների մասին չէ, այլ նրա, թե ինչպես ենք մենք ընկալում երևույթներն ու իրողությունները։ 

Իրականում ոչ միայն ներկայումս, այլև դեռ վաղուց պետք է ձեռնամուխ եղած լինեինք համալսարաններ կառուցելուն՝ ոչ միայն շենքի իմաստով, այգիներ կառուցելուն՝ ոչ միայն լանդշաֆտի, այլև տնտեսության իմաստով։
