«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Այսօր սեպտեմբերի 1–ն է՝ Գիտելիքի օրը: Մի քիչ տարբեր է մյուս տարիներից տոնականության պակասի տեսակետից, քանզի օրը ոչ աշխատանքային է, և դպրոցականների, ուսանողների գերակշիռ մասի համար նոր ուսումնական տարվա սկիզբը կազդարարվի երկու օր անց՝ սեպտեմբերի 3– ին: Բայց դրանից, իհարկե, օրվա խորհուրդը շատ չի նվազում, քանզի սեպտեմբերի 1–ն ինքնին տոն է՝ հատկապես նրանց համար, ովքեր առաջին անգամ են ոտք դնում դպրոց, քոլեջ, բուհ, այսինքն՝ հատկապես առաջին դասարանցիների ու առաջին կուրսեցիների համար: Ինչ վերաբերում է Գիտելիքի օրվան, ապա շատ պիտի ցանկանայինք, որ առանձին այդպիսի օր չունենայինք, իսկ եթե ունենք, ապա դա լիներ սոսկ խորհրդանշական: Գիտելիքի պիտի լինի ամեն օրը: Ցավոք, անցած տարիներին բոլորիս «հաջողվել» է ձևավորել այնպիսի իրավիճակ, որ հենց սեպտեմբերի 1–ով էլ հաճախ սահմանափակվում է գիտելիքի օրը: Մեզ «հաջողվել է» առավելագույնս վարկաբեկել դպրոցը, ուսուցչին, կրթական համակարգն ու կրթությունն ընդհանրապես: Մենք սիրում ենք երեխաներին, իհարկե: Բայց երբեմն նրանց սիրում ենք հունիսի 1–ին, կեացներով, իսկ մնացյալ օրերին անում ենք քայլեր, որոնք վտանգում են մեր իսկ երեխաների ապագան: Մենք գիտելիք, կրթություն գնահատող ազգ ենք: Բայց հաճախ մեր այդ մի սիրո մեջ էլ սահմանափակվում ենք սեպտեմբերի 1–ի տոնականությամբ, իսկ առօրյա կյանքում... Սակայն հույս ունենանք, որ աստիճանաբար մեր քայլերը չեն պարփակվի միայն որևէ տոնական օրվա շրջանակներում՝ Սահմանադրության մասին կհիշենք ոչ միայն հուլիսի 5–ին, երեխաների մասին՝ ոչ միայն հունիսի 1–ին, կրթության մասին՝ ոչ միայն սեպտեմբերի 1– ին, և այլն:

Ինչևէ, տոնը մնում է տոն, ու սիրով շնորհավորում ենք բոլոր աշակերտներին և ուսուցիչներին, ուսանողներին ու դասախոսներին, բոլոր ծնողներին, և ընդհանրապես՝ բոլորիս, քանզի բոլորս էլ այս կամ այն կերպ առնչվում ենք օրվա տոնականությանը: Տա Աստված, որ կրթությունը երբեք բեռ չլինի, այլ հաճելի նպատակ, գիտակցում, որ վաղվա օրը կերտվում է այսօր ու առաջին հերթին՝ կրթօջախներում...
