Մեղուն միայն մեղր ստանալու համար չէ

Մեղուներին մարդիկ պահում են մեղր ու մեղրամոմ ստանալու համար։
Իրականում դա ճշմարտության միայն կեսն է. համարվում է, որ շատ ավելի օգտավետ է մեղու պահել այլ նպատակով՝ որոշ կուլտուրաների փոշոտման և բերքատվության աճի համար։
Դա կոչվում է քոչվոր արդյունաբերական մեղվապահություն: Խիստ զարգացած է ԱՄՆ–ում: ԱՄՆ–ի մեղվապահ ֆերմերներն իրենց օգուտի մեծ մասը քաղում են սրանից, այլ ոչ թե մեղր ստանալուց: Ինտենսիվ գյուղատնտեսությունը, որը ենթադրում է մեծ տարածքում մեկ կուլտուրայի աճեցում՝ պեստիցիդների մեծ քանակի օգտագործմամբ, բերել է նրան, որ անհրաժեշտություն է ծագում բույսի փոշոտում իրականացնել արհեստականորեն, որը և մեծ հաջողությամբ իրականացնում են մեղվաընտանիքները: Այգիներ մշակող ֆերմերները որոշակի ժամանակով վարձում են մեղվապահ ֆերմերների մեղվաընտանիքները, ընդ որում՝ դրա համար վճարելով լուրջ գումարներ:
Սկսած հունվար–փետրվարից մեղվաընտանիքները բարձվում են մեքենաների մեջ և տեղափոխվում սկզբից Կալիֆորնիա՝ նուշի, կեռասի, սալորի, ավոկադոյի պլանտացիաների ծաղկափոշոտման համար: 1–2 ամսից մեղվաընտանիքները տեղափոխվում են Օրեգոն և Վաշինգտոն նահանգներ՝ խնձորի և տանձի պլանտացիաներ: Ամռան սկզբին նրանք արդեն Դակոտայում են՝ արևածաղկի համար: Հնարավոր են նաև այլ երթուղիներ դեպի Տեխաս, Ֆլորիդա, Վիսկոնտին, Միչիգան, Մեն և այլն: Նոյեմբերի սկզբներին մեղվաընտանիքները տեղափոխվում են տաք նահանգներ (Կալիֆորնիա, Տեխաս, Ֆլորիդա) ձմեռման համար:
Այս քոչվորության ծավալները հասկանալու համար ասենք, որ Վաշինգտոն և Օրեգոն նահանգների 73000 հա խնձորի, 17400 հա բալի և 12140 հա տանձի այգիների համար պահանջվում է մոտ 380 000 մեղվաընտանիք: Որոշ մեղվապահ ֆերմերներ ունեն 80 000–ից ավելի մեղվաընտանիքներ, իսկ միայն նրանց տեղափոխման մեկ տարվա ծախսերը գերազանցում են 500 000 դոլարը: Հայաստանում մեր մեղվապահներն, իհարկե, կատարում են մեղվաընտանիքների տեղափոխություններ տարվա ընթացքում, բայց բացառապես մեղրի բերք ստանալու համար: Անգամ լինում են դեպքեր, որ վարձ են տալիս ինչ–որ տեղ փեթակները տեղադրելու համար: Իրականում դրա համար իրենց պետք է վճարեն: Ափսոս այս հրաշալի միտքը տեղ չի գտել մեր գյուղատնտեսության պատասխանատուների ծրագրում:
