Ադրբեջանի խաղաղության եւ ժողովրդավարության ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Լեյլա Յունուսի եւ նրա ամուսնու, պատմաբան Արիֆ Յունուսի վճռաբեկ բողոքի հետ կապված առաջին դատալսումից հետո նրանց փաստաբան Էլչին Սադըգովը լրագրողներին հայտարարել է, որ Լեյլա Յունուսը ծեծի է ենթարկվել բանտում, նրա մարմնին ծեծի հետ կապված կապտուկներ կան:

Վկայակոչելով faktxeber.com լրատվական կայքը, փաստաբանն ասել է, որ դատալսման ժամանակ Լեյլա Յունուսը գտնվել է փակ ձայն չհաղորդող ապակե խցում, նրա խոսքը չի լսվել, սակայն, նա ցուցադրել է իր վզին եղած մեծ կապտուկները:

Յունուսների դատապաշտպանները միջնորդություն են ներկայացրել նրանց ձերբակալությունը տնային կալանքով փոխարինելու մասին, սակայն, դատավորը մերժել է: Դատարանի հաջորդ նիստը նշանակվել է նոյեմբերի 12-ին:

Լեյլա Յունուսի մարմնին հայտնված կապտուկների հետ կապված փաստաբանը մտադիր է հետաքննության համար դիմել համապատասխան ատյաններին: Էլչին Սադըխովը նաեւ հայտնել է, որ իրեն Լեյլա Յունուսի հետ հանդիպելու հնարավորություն չի տրվել:

«Լեյլա եւ Արիֆ Յունուսները գրկախառնված նստել էին դատապարտյալների աթոռին եւ ոչինչ չեն խոսել», -ասել է փաստաբանը:

Վճռաբեկ դատարանը նրանց գործը հոկտեմբերի 20-ին ուղարկել է ծանր հանցագործությունների դատարան` արձանագրությունների իրական ցուցմունքներին չհամապատասխանելու պատճառները պարզելու համար: Այդ առնչությամբ դատապաշտպանների դիմումը դատարանը քննել է, սակայն, փաստաբաններին այդպես էլ եզրակացություն չի տրվել:

Լեյլա Յունուսը եւ նրա ամսուսին Արիֆ Յունուսը մեղադրվում են, իբր, Հայաստանի օգտին լրտեսություն կատարելու մեջ, սակայն, նրանց հետապնդելու իրական պատճառը Ադրբեջանում առկա 98 քաղաքական բանտարկյալների խնդրի ակտուալացումն է եւ միջազգային կազմակերպություններին արված` Բաքվում 2015 թվականի մայիսին անցկացված Եվրոպական խաղերը բոյկոտելու մասին կոչերը:

Ադրբեջանում բանտարկված իրավապաշտպան Լեյլա Յունուսն օրերս արժանացել է OXI DAY հիմնադրամի հանուն ազատության եւ ժողովրդավարության անվեհերպայքարի համար Battle of Crete Award պարգեւի: Oxi Day Battle of Crete Award պարգեւն ամեն տարի շնորհվում է կանանց` ազատության եւ ժողովրդավարությանոլորտում պաշտպանության, առաջխաղացման գործում նրանց ցուցադրած արիության համար:

Լեյլա Յունուսը Ֆրանսիայի «Պատվո լեգիոն» շքանշանի ասպետ է: ՄԱԿ-ի մարդու իրավունքների Բարձրագույն հանձնակատար Սերգիո Վիերիա դե Մելոնի (Sergio Vieria de Mello) անվան պարգեւի եւ Թեոդոր Հաքերի գերմանական պարգեւի դափնեկիր է:

Տեղական եւ միջազգային հանրության աջակցությունը սրընթաց կերպով կորցնող ալիեւյան վարչակարգն իր իշխանությունը պաշտպանելու միակ ուղին տեսնում էադրբեջանական հասարակությանը ճնշելու եւ վախ սերմանելու մեջ: Դրա համար ադրբեջանական իշխանությունները շարունակում են քաղաքացիականհասարակության եւ մամուլի դեմ բռնաճնշումները:  

Amnesty International կազմակերպությունը Լեյլա եւ Արիֆ Յունուսներին «խղճի բանտարկյալներ» է ճանաչել:
