«Շառլ Ազնավուրն իր ձայնով միավորում էր ամբողջ սերունդների, նա շանսոնի իրական առաջնորդ էր և նպաստեց այդ ժանրի զարգացմանը», - РИА Новости-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ասել է ՌԴ էստրադային երգիչ Լև Լեշչենկոն՝ հավելելով, որ Ազնավուրը սիրում էր հանդիսատեսին, շատ համերգներ էր տալիս և երանելի ֆիզիկական վիճակում էր գտնվում:
«Մեծն երգիչ և անզուգական պոետ, որը մեզ անգերազանցելի հարստության ժառանգություն է թողել: Բոլոր ֆրանսիացիները սգում են նրան», - թվիթերյան իր էջում գրել է Ֆրանսիայի «Ազգային միավորում» կուսակցության ղեկավար Մարին Լը Պենը:
Շանսոնյեի մասին թվիթերյան գրառում է կատարել է նաև ՀՀ-ում Ֆրանսիայի դեսպան Ջոնաթան Լաքոթը. «Կորցրինք Շառլ Ազնավուրին։ Մարդու, ով անձնավորում էր Ֆրանսիայի և Հայաստանի միջև հարաբերությունները իրենց ողջ խորությամբ, հարստությամբ, մարդկությամբ։ Սա ահռելի մեծ կորուստ է մեր երկու երկրների և իր պոեզիայի բոլոր սիրահարների համար»:
