SOCIETYԵրեւանը ռազմապաշտպանական կառույցից վերածվել է քաղաքաշինության ասպարեզում իրականացված սխրանքի: Այս մասին Երեւանի 2800-ամյակի տոնի առթիվ իր ուղերձում նշել է ԱԺ նախագահ Արա Բաբլոյանը:
Ուղերձում, մասնավորապես, ասվում է.
«Սրտանց շնորհավորում եմ Երեւանի հիմնադրման 2800-րդ տարեդարձի առթիվ: Երեւանը բերդաքաղաքից վաղուց դարձել է Արարատի հայացքի ներքո տարածված եւ արագ զարգացող մեծ ու գեղեցիկ քաղաք, ռազմապաշտպանական կառույցից վերածվել է քաղաքաշինության ասպարեզում իրականացված սխրանքի, ձեռք է բերել թամանյանական եզակի ճարտարապետական դիմագիծ, ստեղծել է իր յուրահատուկ՝ երեւանյան միջավայրը, եւ ի վերջո, այն այլեւս համայն հայության մայրաքաղաքն է:
Ու նաեւ դարձել է բոլորիս սիրո, հոգատարության եւ հպարտության առարկան, որի զարգացումը խորհրդանշեց Հայաստանի ու հայության վերազարթոնքը:
Երեւանն այսօր ո´չ միայն Հայաստանի վարչական կենտրոնն է, այլեւ տնտեսական, գիտական, կրթական ու մշակութային մայրաքաղաքը, ուր միաձուլվել են պատմության բազմաթիվ շերտեր, եւ ուր, գոնե վերջին հարյուրամյակում, զարգացել է հայ հասարակական-քաղաքական միտքը, ձեւակերպել է համահայկական ընդգրկում ունեցող նորանոր գաղափարներ եւ իրականություն դարձրել դրանք:
Երեւանն այսօր աշխարհի շատ ու շատ պետությունների կայուն զարգացման ճանապարհով ընթացող մայրաքաղաքների շարքում է, ապրում է նոր ժամանակների շնչով, միշտ զարմացնում է իր դասական գեղեցկությամբ ու կոլորիտով:
Տոնական այս օրը հետադարձ հայացք նետելով Երեւանի անցած քսանութ դարերին եւ երախտագիտությամբ հիշելով մեր քաղաքը կառուցողներին ու շենացնողներին` շնորհակալության առանձնահատուկ խոսքեր պիտի ուղղենք նաեւ բոլոր ա´յն մարդկանց, ովքեր իրենց տքնաջան աշխատանքով ամեն ինչ անում են մայրաքաղաքի զարգացման ու գեղեցկացման, Երեւանը քաղաքային կյանքի բոլոր ոլորտներում ու համայնքային կառավարման ասպարեզում նորարարական մոտեցումների կենտրոն դարձնելու եւ դրանք Հայաստանի մյուս բնակավայրերում կյանքի կոչելու համար:
Երեւանի ծաղկման համար Հայաստանը շատ բան է արել, բայց Երեւանն էլ շռայլորեն փոխհատուցել է այն, եւ որպես մայրաքաղաք՝ ուղենիշ է դարձել ողջ երկրի զարգացման համար` իր կրթական, բժշկական, գիտական, արդյունաբերական եւ մյուս ասպարեզների մեծ հնարավորությունները ծառայեցնելով հեռու ու մոտիկ, մեծ ու փոքր բնակավայրերի զարգացմանը:
Սիրելի հայրենակիցներ, այսօր բոլորիս տոնն է եւ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության խորհրդարանի ու իմ անունից կրկին շնորհավորում եմ Երեւանի հիմնադրման 2800-րդ տարեդարձի առթիվ:
Հպարտանանք մեր մայրաքաղաքի պատմությամբ, գնահատենք ու պահպանենք ներկան եւ կերտենք Երեւանի վաղվա օրը»:
