SOCIETYՎարչապետի պաշտոնակատար Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդունել է ԵԱՀԿ մամուլի ազատության հարցերով ներկայացուցիչ Հարլեմ Դեզիրին:
Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդգծել է, որ ՀՀ կառավարության համար խոսքի ազատությունը կարևորագույն առաջնահերթություններից մեկն է և հավելել, որ մամուլի ազատության աստիճանն այժմ մեր երկրի համար գտնվում է աննախադեպ բարձր մակարդակի վրա: Վարչապետի պաշտոնակատարի խոսքով՝ ի տարբերություն նախորդ տարիների, իր՝ ՀՀ վարչապետի պաշտոնում ընտրվելուց հետո, Հայաստանում կառավարությունը որևէ լրատվամիջոցի նկատմամբ չի իրականացնում որևէ վերահսկողություն: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի խոսքով՝ հաշվի առնելով նաև իր լրագրողական երկարամյա գործունեությունը՝ այս հարցն իր համար ունի սկզբունքային նշանակություն: Նա շեշտել է, որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը երաշխավորելու է մամուլի ազատ գործունեությունը, ինչին իր պաշտոնավարման ընթացքում երբևէ որևէ վտանգ չի սպառնա: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը նշել է, որ գործադիրի բարեփոխումները միտված են երկրում ժողովրդավարության ամրապնդմանը, քաղաքացիական հասարակության զարգացմանն ու խոսքի ազատության ապահովմանը:
Հարլեմ Դեզիրը բարձր է գնահատել մամուլի ազատության աստիճանը Հայաստանում և ողջունել այդ ուղղությամբ կառավարության գործունեությունն ու քաղաքականությունը: Նրա խոսքով՝ Հայաստանում այժմ տեղի են ունենում մեծ փոփոխություններ և ԵԱՀԿ-ն կարևորում է մամուլի և խոսքի ազատության պաշտպանության ուղղությամբ մեր երկրում առկա մթնոլորտն ու գործելաոճը: Հարլեմ Դեզիրն ընդգծել է պետական կառավարման համակարգի գործունեության թափանցիկության հետևողական բարձրացման ուղղությամբ համապատասխան բարեփոխումների իրականացման անհրաժեշտությունը և ողջունել կառավարության նիստերն ու տեղի ունեցող քննարկումներն ուղիղ հեռարձակումների միջոցով ԶԼՄ-ներին և ընդհանրապես հանրությանը ներկայացնելու քայլերը:Հանդիպման ընթացքում զրուցակիցները գոհունակություն են հայտնել ԵԱՀԿ մամուլի ազատության հարցերով ներկայացուցչի գրասենյակի և ՀՀ համապատասխան պետական մարմինների միջև սերտ և արդյունավետ համագործակցությունից: Երկրում մամուլի անկախության ապահովման գործում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը կարևորել է Զանգվածային լրատվական միջոցներին միջազգային կազմակերպությունների կողմից տարբեր մեխանիզմներով օժանդակության ցուցաբերումն ու այդ ուղղությամբ ծրագրերի ընդլայնումը:
Հարլեմ Դեզիրը նշել է, որ Հայաստանը ԵԱՀԿ լավագույն գործընկերներից է և ընդգծել տեղեկատվության ազատության ոլորտում համագործակցությունն ավելի խորացնելու պատրաստակամությունը:
