Ամերիկահայերի սատարած թեկնածուների 90%-ից ավելին հաղթել են ԱՄՆ-ի ընտրություններում
POLITICSԱՄՆ Սենատի եւ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի ընտրությունների նախնական տվյալներով` Ամերիկայի հայ դատի հանձնախմբի սատարած 180 թեկնածուներից 165-ը հաղթել են իրենց ընտրատարածքներում: Դրանում մեծ ներդրում են ունեցել Հայ դատի հանձնախումբը եւ հայամետ մյուս կազմակերպությունները, որոնք երկրի ողջ տարածքում թեկնածուների օգտին լայնածավալ աշխատանքներ են իրականացրել:
Ամերիկայի հայ դատի հանձնախումբը ողջունել է հայամետ օրենսդիրների հաղթանակը: «Շնորհավորում ենք Էնթոնի Բրինդիսիին ԱՄՆ-ի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատում ընդգրկվելու կապակցությամբ: Հատուկ շնորհակալություն ենք հայտնում Դենի Թարքանյանին` նման ակտիվ քարոզարշավ անցկացնելու համար», - հայտնել է Հայ դատի հանձնախումբը:
Ամերիկահայ թեկնածու Էնթոնի Բրինդիսին ընտրություններում հաղթելով` կմիանա Ներկայացուցիչների պալատում մյուս երկու ամերիկահայ պատգամավորներ Աննա Էշուին եւ Ջեքի Սփայերին: Սենատոր Բոբ Մենենդեսը, ով հայտնի է իր հայամետ գործունեությամբ, նույնպես հաղթել է ընտրություններում եւ Սենատում կընդգրկվի Միջազգային հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովում:
Նեվադայում, ցավոք, հայազգի Դենի Թարքանյանը, ընտրություններում 43.4% ձայներ հավաքելով, պարտվել է Սյուզի Լիին, ով հավաքել է ձայների 51,4%-ը:
ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի հայկական հարցերով կոմիտեի 5 անդամներ կրկին վերընտրվել են: Կոնգրեսի թուրքական հարցերով կոմիտեի համանախագահ Փիթ Սեշընսը, ով հայտնի է Հայոց Ցեղասպանության ճանաչման դեմ իր գործունեությամբ, պարտվել է Քոլին Ալրեդին:
