«168 ժամ» թերթը գրում է. «Ինչո՞ւ էր Հայաստան ժամանել Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը: Ոչ երեկ Երեւանում կայացած նրա հանդիպումների մասին պաշտոնական հաղորդագրություններում, ոչ էլ մամլո ասուլիսում հնչած հայտարարություններում այդ հարցի պատասխանը, բնականաբար, չտրվեց: Նրա այցելության հետ կապված փորձագիտական, քաղաքական շրջանակներում քննարկվում են բազմաթիվ, հաճախ հակադիր ու իրարամերժ կարծիքներ, որոնց, սակայն, միավորում է այն, որ Լավրովը Հայաստան էր եկել ինչ-որ լուրջ առաքելությամբ՝ Հայաստանի իշխանությանն ինչ-որ բան համոզելու/պարտադրելու կամ Հայաստանից ինչ-որ զիջում ստանալու/կորզելու համար:

Լավրովի այցին նախորդած ու դրա ընթացքում հնչող այս գնահատականներն ու կարծիքները լավագույնս ցույց են տալիս հայ-ռուսական հարաբերությունների իրական որակը, ավելի ճիշտ՝ դրանցում որակի բացակայությունը: Խոսքը «թղթով» Հայաստանի ռազմավարական դաշնակից երկրի արտգործնախարարի այցի մասին է, որը նորմալ պայմաններում կամ պետք է ընդունվեր՝ որպես աշխատանքային, ընթացիկ այցելություն, կամ, ավելի լավ սցենարով՝ որպես հայ-ռուսական հարաբերություններում որեւէ դրական տեղաշարժ արձանագրելու, երկու երկրների, այդ թվում՝ Հայաստանի շահերից բխող պայմանավորվածություններ ձեռք բերելուն ուղղված այց:

Բայց այդպիսի ընկալում պարզապես գոյություն չունի, եւ բոլորը, այդ թվում՝ անգամ Հայաստանի իշխանական շրջանակների ներկայացուցիչները Լավրովի այցից ոչ թե ոգեւորված են, այլ անհանգստացած, բոլորը գիտեն կամ զգում են, որ Լավրովը եկել է ինչ-որ բան «տանելու»: «Տանելը», իհարկե, պետք է հասկանալ փոխաբերական իմաստով:

Ավելի տեղին են, թերեւս, «թույլ չտալ» կամ «կանխել» արտահայտությունները: Ներկայումս Հայաստանի շուրջ կատարվում են բավական դինամիկ զարգացումներ՝ սկսած Իրանի նկատմամբ արեւմտյան պատժամիջոցների վերացումից հետո առաջացած նոր հնարավորություններից, մինչեւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի ակտիվացում մեր տարածաշրջանում (ի դեպ, հենց երեկ, գրեթե Լավրովի այցին զուգահեռ՝ Երեւանում ընթանում էր «ՆԱՏՕ-Հայաստան համագործակցություն. նոր նպատակներ եւ հեռանկարներ» բազմիմաստ խորագրով խորհրդաժողովը, որի ընթացքում բավական ուշագրավ հայտարարություններ են հնչել Հայաստան-ՆԱՏՕ հարաբերությունների հեռանկարների վերաբերյալ):

Այդ եւ բազմաթիվ այլ իրողություններ Հայաստանի համար նոր հնարավորություններ ու հեռանկարներ են ստեղծել, որոնց իրացումը բխում է Հայաստանի պետական շահերից՝ միաժամանակ հակադրվելով Ռուսաստանի աշխարհաքաղաքական շահերին: Այնպես որ, Լավրովի այցի ամենամեծ խնդիրն այն է, որպեսզի հանկարծ Հայաստանի իշխանությունն անգամ չմտածի օգտագործել նոր հնարավորությունները՝ Հայաստանի շահերը սպասարկելու նպատակով: Թե կոնկրետ ի՞նչ դրսեւորումներ կստանան այս այցի արդյունքները, տեսանելի կլինի առաջիկայում՝ Հայաստանի իշխանությունների գործողություններից, որոշ դեպքերում՝ նաեւ գործողությունների բացակայությունից»:
