SOCIETYՎեհափառի պաշտպանության կարիքը չկար մեր իշխանության ժամանակ, որովհետեւ այդ պաշտպանությունը կար, օրենքի կարիքը չկար: Այս մասին, ԱԺ-ում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Արմեն Աշոտյանը՝ անդրադառնալով ՀՀԿ-ականների օրենսդրական նախաձեռնությանը, որով առաջարկվում էր Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսին թիկնազոր տրամադրել եւ դասել պետական բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների շարքը:
«Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը դարձավ վարչապետ եւ զրկեց վեհափառին այդ պաշտպանությունից»,-ասաց նա:
Աշոտյանը կարծիք հայտնեց, որ այս իշխանությունը մի քանի «մազոլ» ունի եւ երբ ընդդիմությունը ոտքը դնում է դրանց վրա, իշխանությունն սկսում է ոչ ադեկվատ ռեակցիաներ տալ:
«Խնդիրը այլ սեռական կողմնորոշում ունեցող մարդկանց խտրականության մեջ չէ, նրանք ունեն նույն իրավունքները, որն ունի յուրաքանչյուր ոք: Խնդիրն այն է, թե արդյոք յուրաքանչյուր մարդ իր անձնական դիրքորոշումը պետք է քարոզի, թե չքարոզի: Մեր իշխանության օրոք սրա մասին խոսք չկար»,-ասաց նա:
