Քսան տարվա անհետացումից հետո իսպանացի բժշկին ողջ են գտել իտալական Տոսկանայի անտառում: Այդ մասին, հաղորդել է Sky News բրիտանական հեռուստաալիքը:
Երկու շաբաթ առաջ երկու սունկ հավաքողներ տեսել են 47-ամյա Կառլոս Սանչես Օրտիզ դե Սալազարին՝ «կեղտոտ դեմքով եւ հսկայական մորուքով»:
«Ես իսպանացի եմ, իմ անունը Կառլոս է, ես այստեղ ապրում եմ 1997 թվականից»,- ասել է նա եւ ցույց տվել իր անձնագիրը: Բժիշկը պարզաբանել է, որ չէր ցանկանում ապրել մարդկանց մեջ, բայց այժմ մտադիր է դուրս գալ անտառից:
Իսպանացու ընտանիքը, որը ժամանել է Տոսկանա, փորձել է գտնել Սալազարին, բայց նա վերստին անհետացել է: Ծնողները, նայելով անձնագրի լուսանկարին, հավաստել են, որ նա, իրոք, իրենց որդին է: «Մենք հարգում ենք նրա որոշումն ու նրա ազատությունը, բայց մենք չենք հեռանա, քանի դեռ վերստին չենք գրկել նրան, նույնիսկ եթե դա լինի վերջին անգամ»,- ասել է նրա մայրը:
Բժիշկը Սեւիլիայի իր տունը լքել է 1995 թվականին եւ ուղեւորվել Տոսկանայի մարզ: Ինչպես ենթադրում է Sky News հեռուստաալիքը, նա դա արել է խորը դեպրեսիայի պատճառով:
14 տարի անց բժշկին պաշտոնապես մահացած են հայտարարել, քանի որ նրա գտնվելու վայրի վերաբերյալ տվյալներ չեն եղել:
