Արքայադուստր Էլիզաբեթ Մարիա Վինձոր: Այսպես էին ծնվելիս անվանել Վինձորների դինաստիայի ապագա թագուհուն։
Past.am-ի հաղորդմամբ` ofigenno.cc-ն հայտնում է, որ նա, որպես Յորքի դուքս Գեորգի ավագ դուստր, ով 1936-ին իր եղբայր Էդուարդ 8-րդի գահից հրաժարվելուց հետո դարձավ թագավոր, 10 տարեկանում գահաժառանգ դարձավ:
1952թ փետրվարի 6-ին, 25 տարեկանում նա զբաղեցրեց հոր տեղը։ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի թագուհի Էլիզաբեթ 2-րդը երիտասարդ ժամանակ։
1947թ 21-ամյա Էլիզաբեթը ամուսնացավ 26-ամյա Ֆիլիպ Մաունթբեթենի հետ, ով բրիտանական նավատորմի սպա էր, հունական ու դանիական թագավորական ընտանիքների անդամ ու թագուհի Վիկտորյայի հեռավոր ազգականը: Նրանք ծանոթացել էին Դարմուտում, որտեղ սովորում էր Ֆիլիպը: Հենց այդ ժամանակ էլ նրանք սիրահարվեցին։
Թագուհին իր ծննդյան 85-րդ տարեդարձի տոնակատարությանը։
