Երևանի Բաղրամյան պողոտայի առաջին փակուղին անվանակոչվեց Ռաֆայել Լեմկինի անվամբ
SOCIETYԵրևանի Մարշալ Բաղրամյան պողոտայի 1-ին փակուղին անվանակոչվեց իրավագետ, «ցեղասպանություն» եզրույթի հեղինակ Ռաֆայել Լեմկինի անվամբ: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ փողոցի անվանակոչման հանդիսավոր արարողությանը, Երևանի քաղաքապետի տեղակալ Սերգեյ Հարությունյանը լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց, որ Ռաֆայել Լեմկինի անվան փողոց ունենալու մասին որոշումը կայացվել է ավագանու նիստի ժամանակ: «Մի քանի տարբերակ է քննարկվել և ընտրվել է հենց այս փողոցը: Կարծում եմ շատ ճիշտ փողոց է ընտրվել մեծանուն Լեմկինի անվամբ վերանվանելու համար»,- ասաց նա:
ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի ցեղասպանության հարցերով հատուկ խորհրդական Ադամա Դիենգի խոսքով՝ Ռաֆայել Լեմկինը տեսել և զգացել է ցեղասպանությունը և մշակել եզրույթը: «Այսօր մենք մեր հարգանքի տուրքն ենք մատուցում այն մարդուն, ով իր կյանքը նվիրեց միջազգային իրավական փաստաթղթի ստեղծմանը»,- ընդգծեց նա՝ շնորհակալություն հայտնելով Երևանի քաղաքապետին փողոցը Լեմկինի անվամբ անվանակոչելու համար:
Հայաստանում ՄԱԿ-ի մշտական համակարգող Շոմբի Շարփն էլ հավելեց, որ 70 տարի առաջ այս օրերին միջազգային հանրությունը համախմբվեց ընդունելու համար մարդու իրավունքների համընդհանուր հռչակագիրը, և այդ իրադարձությունից մեկ օր առաջ էլ ընդունվեց ցեղասպանության կանխարգելման և պատժի միջազգային կոնվենցիան: «Այսօր մենք մեր հարգանքի տուրքն ենք մատուցում մի մարդու, ով մեծ ծառայություններ է ունեցել այս ոլորտում, և հարգում ենք նրա թողած ժառանգությունը: Որպես Լեհաստանում մեծացած, հրեական համայնքի ներկայացուցիչ, նա դարձավ նացիզմի դեմ պայքարի կարևորագույն ներկայացուցիչներից մեկը»,- ներկայացրեց Շոմբի Շարփն՝ ընդգծելով, որ Լեմկինը մարդ էր, ով խորապես ազդված էր զանգվածային բնաջնջումներից և Հոլոքոստից և մասնակցել էր ցեղասպանության կոնվենցիայի նախագծմանը, ինչը հանդիսանում է ՄԱԿ-ի նախաձեռնած կարևորագույն իրադարձություններից մեկը:
