Սկսվել Է Սիեթլի տեսարժան վայրերից մեկի՝ «Ծամոնի պատի» մաքրումը

 Սիեթլում սկսվել Է տեղի տեսարժան վայրերից մեկի՝ այսպես կոչված «Ծամոնի պատի» մաքրումը: Այդ մասին,  գրել Է The Seattle Times-ը:

Ծամված մաստակը տեղի Մարկետ-թատրոնի պատին կպցնելու ավանդույթը, որը գտնվում Է Փայք-Փլեյս խոշոր շուկայի մոտ, սկսվել Է 1993 թվականին. հանդիսատեսներն այդ ձեւով մանրադրամներն Էին ամրացնում պատին: Հաստատության աշխատողները երկու անգամ փորձել են պատը մաքրել կուտակված ծամոնից, բայց ի վերջո տեղի են տվել:  

Ժամանակի ընթացքում «Ծամոնի պատը» փաստորեն դուրս եկավ մեկ պատի սահմաններից: Ծամոնն սկսեցին կպցնել նրբանցքի մյուս պատերին եւ խողովակներին, գրում Է Toronto Sun-ը:

Տեսարժան վայրը «Ծամոնի պատ» Է անվանվել 1999 թվականին: Դրա նկատմամբ հետաքրքրություն են դրսեւորում հարսանեկան հանդիսությունների մասնակիցները, լուսանկարվելու սիրահարները: 

Կուտակված ծամոնի շերտը հասնում Է 4,5 մետր բարձրության, 15 մետր երկարության եւ մոտավորապես 10 սանտիմետր հաստության:

Պատի առանձին մասերում ամրացված ծամոնից ստեղծվել են արվեստի յուրօրինակ ստեղծագործություններ: Դրա հետ մեկտեղ, պատը համարվում Էր քաղաքի՝ հիգիենայի պահպանման առումով ամենախոցելի վայրերից մեկը:

Նոյեմբերի 10-ին, պաշտպանական համազգեստներով եւ դիմակներով երկու աշխատողներ սկսել են պատի մաքրումը: Աղյուսե շարվածքը չվնասելու նպատակով որոշվել Է օգտագործել ոչ թե ջրաշիթեր, այլ  գոլորշի: Մի քանի տարվա ընթացքում կուտակված ծամոնը գոլորշու ներգործությամբ փափկում Է եւ ընկնում պատի տակ դրված թիթեղի վրա: Հետագայում պլանավորվում Է այն կշռել եւ թափել:  

Էմիլի Քրոուֆորդի՝ Փայք-Փլեյս շուկայի մամուլի քարտուղարի  գնահատմամբ, որն աշխատանքների պատվիրատուն Է, հեռացված զանգվածը կարող Է կշռել 1 տոննա: Մաքրման գործին հատկացվել Է երեք օր:

Սպասվում Է, որ մաքրումից հետո մարդիկ կրկին կսկսեն ծամոն կպցնել պատին, նշում Է Seattle Pi-ն:
