Բրիտանական The Economist հանդեսը Հայաստանը ճանաչել է տարվա երկիր: «Տարվա երկիր» մրցանակը ստանում է ոչ ամենաազդեցիկ, ոչ ամենահարուստ, ոչ ամենահամեղ սնունդով երկիրը: Այդ երկիրը տոնում է առաջընթացը: Ո՞ր երկիրն է ամենաշատը բարելավվել վերջին 12 ամիսներին, ազդարարում է Էկոնոմիստը:
Բարդ ընտրություն էր, տարվա երկիր կոչմանը հավկանում էին Մեծ Բրիտանիան, Իռլանդիան, Էկվադորը, Պերուն, Հարավաֆրիկյան Հանրապետությունը… վերջում ընտրությունը երեք երկրի շրջանակում էր՝ Մալայզիան, որտեղ քաղաքացիներն ընտրություններով հեռացրին վարրչապետին, որը չէր կարողացել բացատրել իր բանկային հաշվին 700 միլիոն դոլարի առկայությունը: Եթովպիան, որը բարեփոխիչ ղեկավար է գլխավորել: Աբիյ Ահմեդն ազատ է արձակել քաղբանտարկյալներին, խոստացել իրական ընտրություններ կազմակերպել և այլ բարեփոխումներ անել:
Հայաստանում նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը փորձել է երկարաձգել իր կառավարումը, բայց մարդիկ փողոց են դուրս եկել: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը՝ խարիզմատիկ և մորուքավոր նախկին լրագրողն ու պատգամավորը, հեղափոխության ալիքի վրա եկավ իշխանության: Նրա նոր դաշինքը ընտրություններին 70% է ստացել: Պուտինանման տիրակալը հեռացվեց և ոչ մի մարդ չսպանվեց: Ռուսաստանն արդարացում չուներ միջամտելու: Անկայուն տարածաշրջանում ապրող հին և հաճախ վատ կառավարություն ունեցած ժողովուրդը դեմոկրատիայի և նորացման հնարավորություն ունի: Այդ պատճառով Հայաստանը տարվա երկիրն է: Շնորհավորում եմ, եզրափակում է Էկոնոմիստը:
