Արցախի «Ազատ հայրենիք» կուսակցության նախագահ Արայիկ Հարությունյանն արձագանքել է մամուլում իր մասին տարածած ապատեղեկատվությանը, թե իբր հանդիպել է ՀՀ առաջին նախագահ Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանին և քննարկել ապագայում «հողերի հանձնման» հարցը։ 

Ինչպես  «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին «Ազատ հայրենիք» կուսակցության մամլո բաժնից, հայտարարության մեջ ասվում է. 

«Հարգելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,

Երեկվանից մի շարք լրատվամիջոցներ ապատեղեկատվություն են տարածել իմ մասին, թե իբր հանդիպել եմ ՀՀ առաջին նախագահ Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանին և քննարկել ապագայում «հողերի հանձնման» հարցը։ 

Նախ տեղեկացնեմ, որ իմ և Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանի միջև որևէ հանդիպում տեղի չի ունեցել։ Անդրադառնալով այսպես կոչված «հողերի հանձնման» հետ կապված ինձ ուղղված մեղադրանքներին՝ անկեղծ կասեմ, որ երկար ժամանակ տարակուսում էի՝ արժե արդյոք արձագանքել այդ մարազմին, թե ոչ, քանի որ Արցախի հարցի կարգավորման վերաբերյալ դեռևս ԱՀ վարչապետ եղած տարիներից տարբեր առիթներով հրապարակավ արտահայտել եմ իմ կարծիքը, անգամ այն ժամանակներում, երբ նման մոտեցումը «մոդայիկ» չէր, ու քչերն էին համարձակվում խոսել այդ մասին։ Ի հավաստումն խոսքերիս՝ վերահրապարակում եմ 2014 թ.-ին ֆեյսբուքյան առցանց հարցուպատասխանի ժամանակ «Մադրիդյան սկզբունքների» վերաբերյալ արտահայտած դիրքորոշումս:

Այսօրինակ լրատվական սադրանքների միջոցով ինչ-որ նպատակների ձգտողներին ասեմ, որ առանց հայ ժողովրդի՝ հատկապես Արցախում և Մայր Հայրենիքում ապրող մեր բոլոր հայրենակիցների համաձայնության, Արցախի հիմնախնդրի վերջնական կարգավորումն անհնար է»։
