SOCIETYՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը ֆեյբուքյան էջում գրել է․
«Հունվարի 7-ը հանգուցյալների հիշատակության օրն է՝ Մեռելոց։ Սա այն օրն է, երբ պետք է ոգեկոչել ազգի մեծ նահատակներին՝ նրանց, որոնք ամենաթանկը՝ իրենց կյանքն են մարտիրոսել վասն հավատո եւ վասն հայրենյաց:
Մեր օրերում բարոյալքման ախտը լուրջ սպառնալիք է ազգային-ավանդական-քրիստոնեական արժեհամակարգի գոյությանը:
Այսօր հետեւողականորեն եւ ծրագրված փորձ է արվում ջարդել հայ ժողովրդի գոյության հոգեւոր-մշակութային ողնաշարը՝ հեղինակազրկելով ազգային կառույցները, նվաստացնելով պատմական հերոսական իրադարձությունները եւ ջնջելով ինստիտուցիոնալ հիշողությունը:
Այս ամենը փաթեթավորվում եւ քողարկվում է «մոդայիկ» ձեւակերպումներով ու կեղծ «մարդասիրական» գաղափարներով: Բանը հասել է նրան, որ բաց տեքստով մեզ կոչ են անում հրաժարվել կարծրատիպերից, քանդել այդ կարծրատիպերը:
Ռազմավարական պաշտոններ զբաղեցնող անձինք հայրենասիրությունը կենաց են որակում, պատմությունն էլ՝ ոչ էական առարկա:
Դժվար ժամանակներ ենք ապրում: Բայց սա էլ կանցնի, համոզված եմ: Որովհետեւ Վարդանանց պատերազմից մինչեւ Արցախյան գոյամարտ, Ապրիլյան պատերազմ ազգի գոյության շարունակականության գինը շատ թանկ է եղել:
