INTERNATIONAL NEWSԱռեւտրի հանձնակատար Սեսիլիա Մալմսթրոմը վստահ է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն չի իրականացնի եվրոպական մեքենաների մաքսատուրքերի մասին սպառնալիքը: Ընդ որում նա նշել է, որ ԵՄ-ն պատրաստ է պատասխանել, եթե դա տեղի ունենա, հաղորդում է Reuters-ը:
ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը սպառնացել է մաքսատուրքեր սահմանել ամբողջ աշխարհից ներկրվող մեքենաների համար, սակայն Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ժան-Կլոդ Յունկերն անցյալ տարվա հուլիսին պայմանավորվել էր «հրադադադրի համաձայնագրի» մասին:
«Մենք առաջ ենք շարժվում, շատ կարեւոր առաջընթաց ենք գրանցել, եւ կա գործընթաց, որն, իմ կարծիքով, դրական է», - ասել է Մալմսթրոմը`հավելելով, որ ԱՄՆ-ն եւ Եվրամիությունը մաքսատուրքեր չեն սահմանի: «Եթե ԱՄՆ-ն խախտի այս համաձայնագիրը, մենք ստիպված կլինենք արձագանքել: Ես չեմ ուզում դա անել: Բայց մենք ստիպված կլինենք անել այդ»:
Ըստ Մալմսթրոմի՝ Եվրոպայի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի ավտոմոբիլային արդյունաբերությունը հստակ հասկացրել է, որ չի ցանկանում 25 տոկոսանոց սակագին ներդնել եւ նման առեւտրային արգելքը վատ կանդրադառնա երկու տնտեսությունների վրա:
Նա նշել է, որ Թրամփը ցանկանում էր ազգային անվտանգության սպառնալիքի պատրվակով սակագներ սահմանել: «Մենք երբեք չենք կարողանա ընդունել դա: Մենք բարեկամներ ու դաշնակիցներ ենք եւ ազգային անվտանգության սպառնալիք չենք հանդիսանում: Հետեւաբար, հուսով ենք, որ դա տեղի չի ունենա», - ասել է նա:
