Բանակի օրվա առիթով այսօր բազմաթիվ շնորհավորհանքներ են հնչել ու դեռ կհնչեն: Օբյեկտիվորեն մեծ է զինված ուժերի նշանակությունը մեր կյանքում և բնական է այն համատարած ոգևորությունը, որ կա այսօր: Մեծ հաշվով ՝ ոչ միայն այսօր, այլև ընդհանրապես: Սակայն շնորհավորական ուղերձներում բանակը , թեկուզ արդարացիորեն, բայց գովաբանվում է որպես առանձին կառույց, սրբազան մի բան, որ կարծես թե կապ չունի մեր կյանքի մյուս ոլորտների հետ:

Հասկանալով հանդերձ զինված ուժերի հանդեպ հասարակական և քաղաքական ուշադրությունը, չենք կարող չընդգծել այն կապը, որ կա այդ և մյուս ոլորտների միջև: Ու խոսքն այստեղ միայն տնտեսության մասին չէ, որպես բանակին սնուցող օրգանիզմի: Խոսքը նաև այն արժեհամակարգի, սոցիալական այն նուրբ շերտերի մասին է, որի վրա ձևավորվում է զինուժը:

Պատերազմի վտանգն, անշուշտ, մեր զինված ուժերի ակունքներում, առանցքում դրել է մեծամասամբ հենց այդ վտանգի չեզոքացման կանխարգելման գործում հմտացած մարդկանց: Սակայն մյուս կողմից էլ, արդեն կիսապատերազմական վիճակում, բանակը մի կողմից սերտաճած է եղել քաղաքական համակարգին ՝ կրելով դրա բոլոր լավ ու վատ հետևանքները, մյուս կողմից էլ՝ սնվել է հասարակությունից` կրկին կրելով դրա լավ և վատ կողմերը:

Չի կարող հասարակությունը լինել մի արժեհամակարգի կրող, բանակն ՝ այլ, չի կարող քաղաքական վերնախավը լինել մի արժեհամակարգի կրող, բանակը ՝ մեկ այլ: Սրանք խիստ սերտկապված են: Եվ այս իմաստով երիցս կարիք կա վերահաստատելու, որ բանակը, այո, մեր հասարակության և պետության խտացված հայելին է, այն առանձին, վակուումի մեջ չէ, որ գոյություն ունի: Հետևաբար ինչքան էլ որ կարևորվի ու գերադասվի բանակի դերը, ընդ որում, հաճախ արդարացիորեն, այն այնուամենայնիվ մնում է հասարակություն-պետություն արժեհամակարգերի, արդյունավետ ֆունկցիոնալության խաչմերուկում:

Առանձին, կտրված դիտարկել բանակը նշանակում է այն տեսնել անցյալի աչքերով, որպես ֆիդայական ջոկատ, պարզապես մեծ: Իրականում, սակայն, նույնիսկ անկախ պատերազմի վերահաս վտանգից, այն խիստ պրոֆեսիոնալ որակներ պահանջող կառույց է: Իսկ պրոֆեսիոնալ և արդյունավետ է բանակն, այնքանով, որքանով հասարակությունն է ու պետությունը: Այս իմաստով շատ կարևոր է, որ վերջապես լիցքաթափվի այն լարումը, որն առկա է բանակի շուրջ ՝ պայմանանավորված մի կողմից քաղաքական նկրտումներով, մյուս կողմից ՝ հասարակական այս կամ այն ընկալումներով: Եվ այստեղ անելիք ունենք բոլորս, ու այդ անելիքը միայն շնորհավորանքներով ու կենացներով կյանքի կոչելը դժվար է թե ստացվի:
