Հայաստանն անդամակցում է Խաղողի և գինու միջազգային կազմակերպությանը: Ազգային ժողովը միաձայն վավերացրեց Խաղողի և գինու միջազգային կազմակերպությանը Հայաստանի անդմակցության համաձայնագիրը: Համաձայնագրին կողմ քվեարկեց 102 պատգամավոր, դեմ և ձեռնպահ քվեարկողներ չեղան:
Խաղողի և գինու միջազգային կազմակերպությունը ստեղծվել է 2001թ. ապրիլին Փարիզում կնքված միջազգային համաձայնագրի հիման վրա: Այն գիտական և տեխնիկական բնույթի կազմակերպություն է, որը հնարավորություն է տալիս տեղեկատվություն փոխանակել խաղողի և գինու արտադրության բնագավառում գիտական, տեխնիկական, տնտեսական և իրավական հարցերի շուրջ: Ներկայումս 45 պետություն՝ այդ թվում ԱՊՀ անդամ որոշ երկրներ, անդամակցում են Խաղողի և գինու միջազգային կազմակերպությանը:
Կազմակերպության հիմնական նպատակներն են. տեղեկացնել իր անդամներին այն միջոցառումների մասին, որոնք իրականացվում են խաղողագործության և գինեգործության ոլորտի արտադրողների, սպառողների և այլ մասնակիցների կողմից, աջակցել գոյություն ունեցող գործընթացներին և ստանդարտների ներդաշնակեցմանը միջազգային պահանջներին, անհրաժեշտության դեպքում նոր միջազգային ստանդարտների նախապատրաստմանը, բարելավել խաղողագործության և գինեգործության արտադրության և շուկայահանման պայմանները:
Խաղողի և գինու միջազգային կազմակերպությանը Հայաստանի անդամակցությունը երկրի տնտեսության վրա որևէ ռիսկ, իսկ ոլորտի տնտեսավարողների համար որևէ լրացուցիչ բեռ չի առաջացնում: Այդ կազմակերպության կողմից առաջարկվող իրավական նորմերը, անվտանգության ցուցանիշները և ստանդարտները Հայաստանը կարող է ընդունել կամավորության սկզբունքով: Կազմակերպության պահանջները պարտադիր են Եվրամիության անդամ երկրների համար:
Հայաստանից Եվրամիություն խաղողագործական և գինեգործական արտադրանք արտահանելու դեպքում դրանք, անկախ խաղողի և գինու միջազգային կազմակերպությանը Հայաստանի անդամակցությունից, պետք է համապատասխանեն Եվրամիության պահանջներին: Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանն անդամակցութունը ևս չի խոչընդոտում Խաղողի և գինու միջազգային կազմակերպությանը Հայաստանի անդամակցությանը, քանի որ ՌԴ-ն նույնպես այդ կազմակերպության անդամ է:
