Իսրայելական The Jerusalem Post պարբերականը հրապարակել է ուշագրավ հոդված, որում ներկայացրել երկրին բնորոշ երևույթներ, որոնք պետք է ներառվեն ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի՝ Միավորված ազգերի Կրթության, գիտության և մշակույթի կազմակերպության ոչ նյութական մշակութային ժառանգության ցանկում:

Վեց կետից բաղկացած ցանկում ներառված է նաև Երուսաղեմի հայկական բրուտագործական արտադրանքը:

«1922 թվականից սկսած հայկական ձեռագործ կավե սպասքը տարածված պարագա էր Երուսաղեմում: Դրանց բուսական և կեդանական թեմատիկայով դիզայնը դարձել է Երուսաղեմի արհեստների այցեքարտը»,-նշվում է հոդվածում:

Անդրադարձի հեղինակը նաև գրում է, որ Իսրայելի մշակութային բազմազանությունը՝ ի դեմս հայ համայնքի, պետք է ընդգրկված լինի ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի ոչ նյութական մշակութային ժառանգության ցանկում:

Պարբերականն առաջարկել է նաև ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի ցանկում ներառել կրոնական ծեսերի ժամանակ օգտագործվող շոֆար գործիքը, Թորայի ընթերցումը, եբրայերենով գրված ժամանակակից պոեզիան, իսրայելական ժողովրդական պարերը, դրուզների «Խամիր» հարսանեկան ծեսը:

Իսրայելը ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ին անդամակցել է 1949 թվականից։ 2017 թվականին երկիրը դժգոհություն էր հայտնել Համաշխարհային ժառանգության ցանկում Հեբրոնը (Էլ Հալիլ) որպես պաղեստինյան օբյեկտ ներառելու առնչությամբ։ 

2019 թվականի հունվարի 1-ից երկիրը պաշտոնապես դադարեցրել է իր անդամակցությունը կազմակերպությանը, սակայն դա խոչընդոտ չէ երկրի համար ներկայացնելու իր արժեքները:
