SOCIETYՀավայան Մաուի կղզում գտնվող ազգային պարկում՝ 1890 մետր բարձրության վրա, առաջին անգամ ձյուն է տեղացել՝ ուղեկցվելով ուժեղ քամիներով:
Ինչպես գրում է CNN-ը, 1890 մետր բարձրությունը կարող է լինել ամենացածրադիր վայրը, որտեղ Հավայներում ձյան ծածկույթ է առաջացել:
«Պոլիպոլի» ազգային պարկից տեղեկացրել են ձյան տեղումների մասին 1890 մետր բարձրություններում: Պարկի ներկայացուցչի խոսքով՝ ձյան ծածկույթի հաստությունը գերազանցել է մեկ մետրը:
Օրեր առաջ հաղորդվում էր, որ Սիեթլ քաղաքում գրանցվել են վերջին 70 տարում ձյան ամենաուժեղ տեղումները:
Հավայան կղզիներում առաջին անգամ 90 սմ հաստությամբ ձյուն էր դրել 2016-ին, սակայն այն ժամանակ ձյան ծածկույթը ձևավորվել էր 4000 մետր բարձրությամբ լեռնագագաթներին:
