Անձրևի ժամանակ վազելու դեպքում մարդը ավելի քիչ կթրջվի, քան դանդաղ քայլելու դեպքում: 

Իրականում այդպես չէ:

Բանն այն է, որ, օրինակ, առանց քամու անձրևի ժամանակ, ինչքան էլ զարմանալի է, վազելու դեպքում մարդը ավելի շատ է թրջվում: Ըստ ֆիզիկայի օրենքների, հորիզոնական մարմնի վրա ուղղահայաց թափվող ջուրը նույն քանակի է լինում՝ անկախ նրանից՝ այդ մարմինը շարժվում է, թե դադարի մեջ է: Վազելիս ստացվում է, որ մարմինը թրջվում է ոչ միայն վերևից, այլ նաև առջևից: Վազողին թվում է, թե անձրևի կաթիլները իր մարմնի վրա են ընկնում անկյան տակ: Արդյունքում արագ տեղաշարժվող մարմնի համար աճում են անձրևի կաթիլների հետ շփման մակերեսը և միավոր ժամանակում այդ մարմնի վրա թափված անձրևի ծավալը:

Ինչ-որ տեղ քիչ թրջվելու միտքը կարող է ճիշտ լինել միայն այն տեսակետից, որ արագ վազելու դեպքում ավելի շուտ կարելի է հասնել ինչ-որ ծածկի տակ, և արդյունքում կկրճատվի անձրևի տակ գտնվելու ժամանակը: Բայց եթե այս ամենին նայենք բոլոր տեսակետներից, կարող է ստացվել, որ անգամ դանդաղ քայլի դեպքում նույն ծածկին ավելի ուշ հասնելով՝ հնարավոր է ավելի քիչ թրջվել: Մարդու քայլքի միջին արագությունը 4-6 կիլոմետր/ ժամ է, իսկ վազքինը՝ 30-50 կիլոմետր/ժամ: Ստացվում է, որ նույն ծածկին հասնելու համար մարդը դանդաղ քայլի դեպքում մոտավորապես 5-10 անգամ ուշ կհասնի, քան վազքի դեպքում: Սակայն վազքի դեպքում մի քանի անգամ մեծանում է մարմնի թրջվող մակերեսը: Բացի այդ, նույն՝ առանց քամու անձրևի ժամանակ, երբ անձրևի կաթիլները ընկնում են ուղղահայաց, վազքի դեպքում կթրջվեն ինչպես վերնաշապիկը և գլխարկը (եթե չկա, ուրեմն՝ գլուխը), այնպես էլ տաբատը, իսկ դանդաղ քայլի ժամանակ տաբատը համեմատաբար չոր կմնա: Այնպես որ, հարց է, թե որն է նախընտրելի: Այս ամենը ճիշտ է միայն առանց քամու անձրևի ժամանակ: Քամու հետևանքով թեք անձրև տեղալու դեպքում արդեն բոլորովին կապ չունի՝ մարդը վազում է, թե քայլում, քանի որ նույն միավոր ժամանակում մարմնի վրա թափվում են նույն քանակի անձրևի կաթիլներ, քանի որ ամեն դեպքում թրջվող մակերեսը նույնն է: Ընդ որում, կապ չունի, թե մարդը որ ուղղությամբ է քայլում կամ վազում՝ քամուն ընդառաջ, թե հակառակը: Կողային քամու դեպքում վազելից կողքից թրջվելուն բնականաբար գումարվում է նաև առջևից թրջվելը:
