SOCIETYՀայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու տոնացույցով մարտի 4-ին մեկնարկում է 48-օրյա Մեծ Պահքը։ Պահքը սկսվում է Բուն Բարեկենդանից և տևում մինչև Սուրբ Հարության (Զատկի) տոն։ Պահքի շրջանում օգտագործում են բացառապես բուսական ծագում ունեցող սննդամթերք՝ հրաժարվելով ոչ միայն որոշակի կերակուրներից, այլև մոլի սովորություններից, շատախոսությունից, ստախոսությունից, հայհոյանքից և այլ մեղքերից:
Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսը խոսք է հղել հավատացյալ ժողովրդին՝Մեծ պահքի առթիվ:

այսօր սկսվում է Մեծ պահքը, ապաշխարության խորհրդավոր շրջան, որի ընթացքին մենք առանձնակի պատրաստությամբ նորոգում ենք մեր անձերը, միտքն ու հոգին՝ մաքուր սրտերով ընդունելու մեր Տեր Հիսուս Քրիստոսի հրաշափառ Հարության ավետիսը:
Մեծ պահքը հրավեր է վերատեսության ենթարկելու և ճշմարիտ պատվիրանապահությամբ սրբագրելու մեր կյանքի ընթացքը՝ աղոթքով ու բարի գործերով այն հաստատելու տերունապատվեր սիրո, հավատի ու հույսի մեջ:
Պահեցողության լուսավոր խորհուրդը զորացնում է հավատքը և նորոգություն բերում մեր կյանքին՝ դառնալով կարևոր միջոց հոգևոր-բարոյական արժեքների ամրապնդման և Աստծո հետ հաղորդակցության զորացման:
Այս հոգևոր ճամփորդության սեմին հորդորում ենք մեր Սուրբ Եկեղեցու հավատավոր զավակներին ջերմեռանդ աղոթքով անցկացնել պահքի շրջանը, ներհայեցողությամբ ու պահեցողությամբ կյանքն իմաստավորել հոգու առատ պտուղներով, հավատարիմ մնալ քրիստոնեական վկայության մեջ, որպեսզի մեր Տիրոջ Սուրբ Հարության տոնին արժանանանք Նրա կենսապարգև շնորհներին ու երկնառաք օրհնություններին:
