«Ուկրաինայի հայերի միությունը» Սումգայիթի ջարդերի 31-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ խաչքար է նվիրաբերել Հայաստանում գտնվող Ախթալայի վանական համալիրին:
Միության՝ Դոնեցկի մարզի ներկայացուցիչ Ռուբեն Մակարյանի Facebook-ի էջը տեղեկացնում է, որ հուշաքարի բացման արարողությանը մասնակցել են Հայաստանում Ուկրաինայի պատվավոր հյուպատոս Սահակ Գունդրաթյանը, Ախթալայի համայնքապետարանի ղեկավար Արկադի Թամազյանը, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանում ուկրաինական համայնքի ներկայացուցիչներ:
Խաչքարի օծումն իրականացրել են Ախթալայի Սուրբ Մարիամ Աստվածածնի վանքի վանահայր Տեր Հեթում քահանա Թարվերդյանն ու Ալավերդու հոգևոր հովիվ տեր Միքայել քահանա Շաղոյանը:
Հայտնի է, որ սա «Ուկրաինայի հայերի միության» առաջին նման նվերն է Հայաստանին: Խաչքարի հեղինակն է քանդակագործ Արտակ Համբարձումյանը:
