Երեկ՝ մարտի 8-ին, ավազակային հարձակում է տեղի ունեցել Կոտայքի մարզում։ Ժամը 13։30-ի սահմաններում դիմակավորված անձը, օգտվելով տան դուռը բաց լինելու հանգամանքից, ներս է մտել Չարենցավան քաղաքի 6-րդ թաղամասի 1-ին շենքի բնակարաններից մեկը և դանակի սպառնալիքի տակ տանտիրուհուց՝ 61-ամյա Հասմիկ Դ.-ից պահանջել ոսկյա, արծաթյա զարդեր, գումար։ 

 Ինչպես հայտնում է shamshyan.com-ը՝ դիմակավորված ճիվաղը անօգնական կնոջը քարշ է տվել ննջասենյակ, ձեռքերն ու ոտքերը թափանցիկ կպչուն ժապավենով կապել և ննջասենյակը տակնուվրա անելուց հետո պահարանից հափշտակել ոսկյա շղթյա, ոսկյա թևնոց, մատանի, ականջօղեր և դիմել փախուստի։ 

Տուժածի հարևանները, ովքեր չեն ցանկացել տեսախցիկի առջև խոսել, ասել էին. 

«Հույս էլ չունենք, որ Չարենցավանի ոստիկանները հանցագործությունը կբացահայտեն։ Մեռան քաղաքում տներ ու ավտոմեքենաներ թալանելով։ Ոստիկանները գալիս են, գրում-ջնջում, նկարում, թողնում-գնում են, բնակիչներին էլ հույս են տալիս, թե հանցագործությունները կբացահատվեն, սակայն թանաքը դեռ չչորացած՝ հերթական հանցագործությունն է տեղի ունենում։ Բաց դեմքերով հանցագործությունը Չարենցավանում չի բացահայտվում, ուր մնաց՝ դիմակով։ Էնպես որ, հույս չկա, որ Չարենցավանում կվերանա հանցագործությունների թիվը, իսկ ոստիկանությունն էլ կամ կբացահայտի, կամ կկատարի հանցագործությունների նախականխման աշխատանքներ։
