 Գեղարքունիքի մարզի Նորակերտ գյուղում նոյեմբերի 14-ի գիշերվա ավերիչ քամուց տուժած մարդկանց առավել  ցավ են պատճառել փշրված շիրմաքարերը, քան վնասված տանիքները:

Նույն եւ հաջորդ առավոտյան գերեզմանոց այցելած մարդիկ հոգու անհուն ցավով ու արցունքներով էին արտահայտում իրենց ապրումները` տեսնելով քամուց տապալված, ջարդուփշուր եղած շիրմաքարերը: Նորակերտի դպրոցի բակում պատվանդանից տապալվել եւ փշրվել է նաեւ Արցախյան ազատամարտի հերոս Սեյրան Սարոյանի շիրմաքարը:Նոյեմբերի 15-ի առավոտյան, տնտեսությունները սեփական միջոցներով արդեն սկսել էին վնասված տանիքների վերականգնման աշխատանքները, սակայն շիրմաքարերի վերականգնումը, դատելով դրանց վնասման աստիճանից, շատ ավելի դժվարին խնդրի առաջ է կանգնեցրել մարդկանց:

«Գերեզմանաքարերը հիմնականում փշուր-փշուր են եղել, շատերի վերականգնումն անհնար է, հավանաբար, հարկ կլինի նոր շիրմաքարեր պատվիրել: Վնասված բազալտե 4 շիրմաքարերից յուրաքանչյուրի արժեքը տատանվում է մինչեւ 1 միլիոն դրամի,  1 գրանիտե եւ 3 «լալվար» տեսակի քարերից յուրաքանչյուրը` մինչեւ 1,5 միլիոն դրամի սահմաններում: Սեյրան Սարոյանի շիրմին տեղադրված խաչքարի արժեքը գերազանցում է 2 միլիոն դրամը: Մարդիկ, ճիշտ է, մտահոգ են իրենց բնակարաններին կամ շինություններին հասցված վնասով, բայց առավել ցավում են իրենց հարազատների շիրմաքարերի ներկա վ իճակով, որի կարգավորման համար ավելի լուրջ միջոցներ ու ժամանակ է պետք»,-նշեց Նորակերտի գյուղապետ Գերասիմ Սարգսյանը:
