Հունիսի 11-ին ԼՂՀ ՊԲ զորամասերից մեկում մահացած ժամկետային զինծառայող Էդուարդ Մելքումյանի հայրը` Գենադի Մելքումյանը, «Ժողովուրդ»-ի հետ զրույցում հայտարարեց, որ իր որդին ինքնասպան չի եղել, պարզապես այդպես «սարքել են»:
Նշենք, որ դեպքը տեղր էր ունեցել մարտական դիրքում, ժամը 01:30-ի սահմաններում: Ըստ նախնական տվյալների՝ Էդուարդն իրեն ամրակցված ինքնաձիգից ինքն իրեն ծնոտի շրջանում հասցրել է մահացու հրազենային վնասվածք:
Մահացած զինվորն ապրում Էր Արցախի Հանրապետության Բերձոր համայնքում: Էդուարդի ծառայության ավարտին մնացել էր ընդամենը երկու շաբաթ, եւ անհասկանալի է, թե ինչը կարող էր դրդել նրան գնալ այդ քայլին: Այս եւ այլ հարցերի պատասխանը ստանալու ակնկալիքով զրուցեցինք մահացած զինվորի հոր՝ Գենադի Մելքումյանի հետ:
Նախ` նա նշեց, որ դեպքից երկու օր առաջ խոսել է որդու հետ.«Ես սովորաբար այդքան երկար հեռախոսով իր հետ չէի խոսում, հիմնականում մայրն էր խոսում, ու ես լսում էի, որ ոչ մի խնդիր չունի: Ախր, շատ ուրախ-ուրախ խոսեց հետս: Ավելին ասեմ` ընդամենը երկու օր էր մնացել, որ դիրքերից իջներ ու …»:
Գենադի Մելքումյանի խոսքով` ծառայության ընթացքում չի եղել մի դեպք, որ Էդուարդը զորամասի հրամանատարության կամ ծառայակից ընկերների հետ խնդիրներ ունենար. «Նա այդ տղան չէր, որ պրոբլեմներ ստեղծեր կամ խնդիրներ ունենար»: Հարցին, թե արդյո՞ք զինվորը վնասվածքը ստացել է հենց ծնոտի շրջանում, հայրը չցանկացավ պատասխանել, միայն նշեց, թե վստահ է, որ իր որդին չէր կարող ինքնասպան լինել.«Այս ամենը սարքել են, այսքանը կասեմ»: Թե ում էր պետք իր որդուն ինքնասպանության հասցնելը կամ սպանելը, զինվորի հայրն առայժմ չի կարող ասել:
Իսկ, ահա, Էդուարդի քույրը՝ Լիաննա Մելքումյանը, առավել համարձակ գտնվեց եւ եղբոր հետ տեղի ունեցածի մասին որոշ մանրամասներ հայտնեց : Ըստ Լիաննայի` դեպքից ժամեր առաջ եղբայրը «Facebook» սոցիալական ցանցում լուսանկարներ է հրապարակել.«Ինձ հետ դեպքից առաջ խոսել է. ասաց, թե քուր, մի հատ հետաքրքրվի Խաչատուր Աբովյանի մանկավարժական համալսարանում ընդունելությունը երբ է, քիչ է մնացել, որ գամ, ուզում եմ դիմել` բուհ ընդունվելու համար: Ես էլ պատասխանեցի, որ որեւէ խնդիր չկա, իրեն նոր մեքենա էինք գնել: Ուզում եմ ասել, որ ոչ մի պարտք կամ ընտանեկան խնդիր մենք չենք ունեցել, եւ առավել եւս ինքը զորամասում որեւէ մեկի հետ խնդիր չի ունեցել, քանի որ խաղաղասեր էր ու ոչ մեկի չէր նեղացնի: Ախր, սիրած աղջիկ էլ չուներ, որ ասեմ՝ դրա համար գնաց այդ քայլին, չկա նման բան»:
