 Ֆրանսիայում նոյեմբերի 13-ին տեղի ունեցած մի շարք ահաբեկչական գործողությունները կարող են հանգեցնել այն բանին, որ արեւմտյան պետությունները փոխեն վերաբերմունքը Սիրիայում Ռուսաստանի գործողությունների նկատմամբ: Այս տեսակետը տեղ Է գտել «Փարիզում ահաբեկչական գործողություններն աշխարհաքաղաքական տեղաշարժի են դրդում Արեւմուտքում» վերտառ ությամբ հոդվածում, որը նոյեմբերի 15-ին հրապարակվել Է ամերիկյան The Wall Street Journal թերթի Էլեկտրոնային տարբերակում: 

«Փարիզի փողոցներում ահաբեկչությունն, ըստ երեւույթին, կարող Է լուրջ փոփոխությունների կատալիզատոր դառնալ միջազգային քաղաքականության մեջ, որոնց հետեւանքները, հնարավոր Է, զգացվեն շատ տարիների ընթացքում,- նշում Է հրատարակությունը:- Վերջին տարվա ընթացքում Արեւեմուտքը կենտրոնացած Էր գլխավորապես Ռուսաստանի կողմից սպառնալիքի վրա, որն, ինչպես թվում Էր, աճել Է»:    

Սակայն այժմ, ինչպես ընդգծված Է հոդվածում, «իրականացնելով մի շարք լավ համակարգված գրոհներ՝ «Իսլամական պետությունը» վերստին համաշխարհային հանրակցության ուշադրությունը հրավիրել Է դեպի այն սպառնալիքը, որն իրենից ներկայացնում Է ահաբեկչությունը»: Թերթի գնահատմամբ՝ Ռուսաստանն ըստ որում «անսպասելիորեն ներկայացել Է որպես գործընկեր, ընդ որում այնպիսի գործընկեր, որն ունի առկա սպառնալիքի անհապաղ նվազեցման պլան», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
