Օրական շուրջ 700 միգրանտ կամ փախստական երեխա Է ժամանում Եվրոպա: Այդ մասին, նոյեմբերի 16-ին Ժնեւում հայտնել Է ՄԱԿ-ի Մանկական հիմնադրամը (ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ), ընդգծելով, որ առանձնակի պաշտպանության եւ աջակցության կարիք ունեն, մասնավորապես, նորածինները, հաշմանդամները, կորած եւ լքված երեխաները, ինչպես ն աեւ այն դեռահասները, ովքեր փորձում են Հին աշխարհ հասնել առանց մեծահասակների ուղեկցության:
Ինչպես ընդգծում Է ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ը, այս տարվա ամառվանից «կանանց եւ երեխաների թիվը (միգրանտների եւ փախստականների շրջանում) մշտապես աճել Է, եւ այդ միտումի վերջը չի երեւում, չնայած ձմռան մոտենալուն»: Հունվարից մինչեւ սեպտեմբեր Եվրամիության երկրներում ապաստան փնտրող երեխաների թիվը հասել Է 214 հազարի: Եթե հունիսին երեխաները կազմում Էին Մակեդոնիայի հետ Հունաստանի սահմանն անցնելիս գրանցված միգրանտների եւ փախստականների տասներորդ մասը, ապա հոկտեմբերին՝ արդեն երրորդ մասը:
Այս տարի Շվեդիայում ապաստան Է խնդրել առանց մեծահասակների ուղեկցության ժամանած 24 հազար երեխա. սա ավելին Է, քան անցած ողջ տարվա ընթացքում եղել Է ամբողջ Եվրոպայում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
