Հետազոտողները ստուգել են 1413 կանանց և 1125 տղամարդկանց ոսկրային հյուսվածքի հանքային խտությունը 2006 թ. և պարզել, որ այդպիսի ըմպելիքների պարբերական օգտագործումը հանգեցրել է ոսկրային հյուսվածքի հանքային խտության զգալի նվազման կանանց օրգանիզմում, ովքեր շատ ավելի ընկալունակ են ոսկրայյին զանգված կորցնելու նկատմամբ, քան տղամարդիկ:
Մի շարք հետազոտությունների տվյալներով՝ այդ երևույթի պատճառը ֆոսֆորի ավելցուկային քանակն է, որը խոչընդոտում է կալցիումի յուրացմանը: Մասնագետները նաև պնդում են, որ ֆոսֆորական թթուն հանգեցնում է ոսկորներից կալցիումի ինտենսիվ կորստի:

Արհեստական քաղցրացուցիչներով գազավորված ըմպելիքների ամենօրյա օգտագործումը կարող է մի շարք հորմոնալ և ֆիզիոլոգիական հիվանդություններ առաջացնել, որոնք ի վերջո գիրության կհանգեցնեն:
Սա վատագույնն է, ինչ կարող եք անել լյարդի համար: Այդպիսի ըմպելիքների ամենօրյա օգտագործումը կտրուկ մեծացնում է լյարդի ցիրոզի առաջացման ռիսկը:
Ոչ ալկոհոլային ըմպելիքները վնասում են ատամների էմալը և քանդում են ատամները: Այս ըմպելիքների քիմիական բաղադրությունը կարող է ատամներին ավելի մեծ վնաս հասցնել, քան շաքարավազը, կոնֆետները և այլ քաղցրեղենը:
