Ակնեն կարող է առաջանալ գլխամաշկին ճիշտ այնպես, ինչպես դեմքի մաշկին կամ մարմնի այլ հատվածներում։ Այս անհանգստացնող խնդիրն առաջանում է շատերի մոտ։ Ինչպես մարմնի մյուս հատվածները, գլխամաշկը ևս ունի ծակոտիներ և արտադրում է յուղ։

Երբ բակտերիան, որն արդեն գլխամաշկի վրա է, միավորվում է մեռած մաշկի և յուղի հետ, ծակոտիները փակվում են և հանգեցնում ակնեի առաջացման։ Գլխամաշկի ակնեի առաջացմանը կարող են նպաստել հորմոնալ խանգարումները, ոչ առողջ սնունդը, ալերգիկ ռեակցիաները, վատ հիգիենան, խոնավ պայմանները, օդի աղտոտվածությունը, քիմիական յուղերի և նյութերի օգտագործումը, ինչպես նաև սթրեսը, հոգնածությունը և դեպրեսիան։

Չնայած գլխամաշկի ակնեն տեսանելի չէ, այն մեծ անհարմարություններ և ցավ կարող է պատճառել։

Գլխամաշկի ակնեի ախտանիշներից են նաև քորը և բորբոքումները։

Այն չբուժելու դեպքում կարող է հանգեցնել բշտիկաբորբի՝ մազերի արմատների բորբոքման, որն առաջանում է բակտերիայի պատճառով։

Խնձորի քացախը կարող է օգնել ազատվել գլխամաշկի ակնեից։

Այն ունի հակաբակտերիալ և հակասեպտիկ հատկություններ, որոնք մաքրում են մազարմատները բակտերիաներից և յուղից, որոնց պատճառով էլ առաջանում է ակնեն։ Քացախը նաև վերականգնում է գլխամաշկի pH հավասարակշռությունն ու կանխում հետագա բորբոքումները։

Անհրաժեշտ է խառնել նույն քանակությամբ գոլ ջուր և քացախ ու այս լուծույթով ցողել արդեն լվացած գլխամաշկը, սպասել 5-7 րոպե և կրկին ցողել գլուխն արդեն մաքուր ջրով։ Այս պրոցեդուրան պետք է անել ամեն անգամ գլուխը շամպունով լվանալուց հետո։

Կարելի է նաև 1 բաժակ տաք ջրի մեջ լցնել 1 թեյի գդալ խնձորի մաքուր քացախ և խմել օրը 2 անգամ։
