Ապրիլյան պատերազմի մասնակիցներ Դավիթ Խատայանն ու Շանթ Ղազարյանը հիշում են՝ 2016-ի ապրիլին Թալիշի դիրքերում նոր էին հանձնել հերթափոխը և գնացել զորամաս, երբ իմացան՝ թշնամին լայնածավալ ռազմական գործողություններ է սկսել շփման գծի հյուսիսարևելյան հատվածում՝ նշանառության տակ առնելով Թալիշ գյուղը:
Թշնամին գնդակոծության միջոցով փորձում էր կասեցնել գումարտակի շարժը՝ թույլ չտալով զորքին օգնության հասնել դիրքապահ տղաներին:
«Մինչև լուսաբաց չենք կարողացել դուրս գալ, 12 ժամ անդադար ռմբակոծել են: Հետո հաղորդում ստացանք, որ գյուղի վրա հարձակում կա, և մենք ստիպված դուրս եկանք և դիրքավորվեցինք գյուղի սկզբնամասում: Կարողացանք ոչնչացնել հակառակորդի տանկերը, որից հետո էլ կարողացանք օգնության հասնել Թալիշի դիրքապահ տղաներին»,- հիշում է Շանթ Ղազարյանը:
Դավիթ Խատայանն էլ հիշում է՝ հենց այդ ժամանակ ինքն ու Շանթը բաժանվեցին՝ յուրաքանչյուրը գնալով իր ստորաբաժանման հետ: Դրանից հետո որոշ ժամանակ ընկերները լուր չունեցան միմյանցից. հետո արդեն իմացան ցավալի լուրը. երկուսն էլ վիրավորում էին ստացել:
«Բանակն իմ կյանքումշատ բան փոխեց, իսկ ապրիլյան պատերազմից հետո կյանքն ավելի քաղցրացավ»,- ասում է արդեն ՀՀ ԶՈւ սպա Դավիթ Խատայանը: Հավելում է՝ հիմա իր զինվորներին դաստիարակում է՝ հաշվի առնելով 3 տարի առաջ ապրիլին ստացած դասերը. «Ապրիլյան պատերազմից հետո իմ զինվորներին դաստիարակում եմ այն ոգով, որ ամեն վայրկյան պետք է պատրաստ լինել դժվարություններին. Ամեն բան էլ հաղթահարելի է»:
Շանթ Ղազարյանն էլ հավելում է՝ պատերազմը փոխել է կյանքի վերաբերյալ իր պատկերացումներն ու հայացքները. «Եթե առաջ մենք կարող էինք թերահավատորեն վերաբերվել ինքներս մեզ, ապա արդեն գիտեմ, որ ամեն ինչ մեր ձեռքերում է, եթե մենք ձգտենք մեր նպատակներին, ապա անպայման կհասնենք»:
