Հայաստանի ազգային պոլիտեխնիկական համալսարանի ռեկտոր դարձավ Ոստանիկ Մարուխյանը: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ որոշումը կայացվեց հունիսի 20-ին կայացած հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի նիստում: 32-ից անդամներից փակ քվեարկությամբ նրան կողմ է քվեարկել 19 -ը: Քվեաթերթիկներից մեկն անվավեր է ճանաչվել:

Խորհրդի նիստը վարեց խորհրդի նախագահ Սամվել Նիկոյանը: Նիստին մասնակցեցին ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարար Արմեն Աշոտյանը և Երևանի քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը:

«Վերջին տասնամյակում ՀՀ-ում որոշակի նախադրյալներ են ստեղծվել բարձրագույն կրթության բնագավառում ծրագրային և ենթակառուցվածքային բարեփոխումների համար: Ընդանուր առմամբ ՝ կրթության ոլորոտում և մասնավորապես բարձրագույն կրթության բնագավառում ստեղծվել է որոշակի հենք՝ առաջանցիկ զարգացում իրականացնելու համար՝ փաստելով այն իրողությունը, որ բարեփոխումները թևակոխել են կրթության որակի ներքին արդյունավետության բարձրացման և բովանդակային փոփոխությունների փուլ: Այդուհանդերձ հասարակության մեջ զգալի են դժգոհությունները կրթության որակի նկատմամբ»,-իր ներկայացրած ծրագրի մասին խոսելով՝ նշեց Ոստանիկ Մարուխյանը:

 Նրա խոսքով՝ համալսարանը, օգտագործելով իր կադրային և նյութատեխնիկական ամբողջ ներուժը, ունակ է դառնալու ճարտարագիտական կրթության և գիտության ոլորտում ազգային ընդհանուր շահերով առաջնորդվող, մրցունակություն ապահովող, ինչպես նաև աշխատաշուկայի պահանջներին արձագանքող կրթական միջավայր:

«Ուսանողական համակազմի այսօրվա թվաքանակի պահպանումը և հետագա հնարավոր մեծացումը շարունակում է մնալ այն գերխնդիրը, որը նպատակաուղղված է ՀՀ-ում ճարտարագիտական որակյալ կադրային ներուժի հիմնավորված արտադրությանըև զարգացմանը»,- հավելեց Ոստանիկ Մարուխյանը՝ կարևորելով նաև ուսանողակենտրոն կրթությունը:

Ռեկտորի պաշտոնի համար առաջադրվել էր երկու թեկնածու. պայքար էր ծավալվել ՀՅԴ անդամ, Պոլիտեխնիկի նախկին ռեկտոր Ոստանիկ Մարուխյանի և Հայաստանի ազգային պոլիտեխնիկական համալսարանի ռեկտորի ժամանակավոր պաշտոնակատար Հովհաննես Թոքմաջյանի միջև: Ընտրություններից առաջ խորհրդին ներկայացվեցին երկու թեկնածուների կենսագրությունները և իրականացրած գործունեությունը:

Պրոֆեսոր, ԱԺ նախկին պատգամավոր Ոստանիկ Մարուխյանը ծնվել է 1946 թվականին: 1964 թվականին ավարտել է Երևանի Խաչատուր Աբովյանի անվան թիվ 2 միջնակարգ դպրոցը։ Սովորել է Երևանի Կ. Մարքսի անվան պոլիտեխնիկական ինստիտուտի էլեկտրատեխնիկական ֆակուլտետում՝ «Ջերմային էլետրակայաններ» մասնագիտությամբ։ 1971-1974 թթ. սովորել է Երևանի պոլիտեխնիկական ինստիտուտի ասպիրանտուրայում, այնուհետև աշխատել է բուհում։  1999-ի փետրվարից մինչ հունիս պաշտոնավարել է որպես ՀՀ ԿԳ նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ։ Համահեղինակ է Հայաստանի բարձրագույն կրթության ոլորտի համար համակարգային նշանակություն ունեցած մի շարք կանոնադրական և չափորոշիչ փաստաթղթերի։ Թվով 11 ուսումնական ձեռնարկների և դասագրքերի հեղինակ է։ 1991-ից ՀՅԴ անդամ է։ 2003-ի մայիսին ՀՀ Ազգային Ժողովի ընտրություններում ՀՅԴ համամասնական ցանկով ընտրվել է ՀՀ Ազգային Ժողովի պատգամավոր։ Եղել է ՀՀ Ազգային Ժողովի պետաիրավական հարցերի մշտական և եվրոպական կառույցներին ինտեգրման ժամանակավոր հանձնաժողովների անդամ։ Եղել է Հայաստան-Հունաստան և Հայաստան-Իտալիա պատգամավորական բարեկամության խմբերի նախագահը։  2006 թվականի հունիսին ընտրվել է Հայաստանի ազգայ ին պոլիտեխնիկական համալսարանի ռեկտոր։
