ՀԱՅ-ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆ
1912-ծնվել է հայ նկարչուհի Մարիամ Պետրոսյանը։
1930-ծնվել է հայ բանաստեղծ, թարգմանիչ լրագրող Վլադիմիր Աբրահամյանը։
1939-ծնվել է ֆրանսիահայ երգչուհի Ռոզի Արմենը։
1920- Երևանում և մի շարք այլ քաղաքներում տեղի են ունեցել հակակառավարական ցույցեր։
1978-մահացել է հայ մեծանուն կոմպոզիտոր Արամ Խաչատրյանը։
1988-Ստեփանակերտում մայիսմեկյան շքերթը վերածվել է ցույցի, որի մասնակիցները բարձրաձայնել են Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը Հայաստանին միացնելու պահանջը։
1991- ԱՄՆ-ի Սենատը միաձայն որոշում է ընդունել, որով դատապարտել է ԽՍՀՄ-ի և Ադրբեջանի կողմից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի, Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի հայերի նկատմամբ իրականացված բռնությունները:
2001- Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների Դուբայ քաղաքում անցկացված «Շեյխի գավաթ» ավանդական՝ թվով երրորդ շախմատի մրցույթի սահմանած գավաթը նվաճել է Կարեն Ասրյանը:
2002- ավտոմատ հրազենից արձակված կրակոցներից սպանվել է Արմավիրի մարզի Նորապատ գյուղի գյուղապետ, 51-ամյա Զորիկ Բադալ յանը: Ձերբակալվել է Նորապատի հարևան գյուղի՝ Ջանֆիդայի 35-ամյա բնակիչ, նախկինում դատված Գագիկ Պետրոսյանը: Պատճառը եղել է գյուղի մերձակայքում գտնվող շուկայի վերահսկողության շուրջ սուր առճակատումը:
2007-Ժողովուրդների բարեկամության ռուսաստանյան համալսարանում զանգվածային ծեծկռտուք է տեղի ունեցել հայաստանցի և ադրբեջանցի ուսանողների միջև, որի հետևանքով եղել են տուժածներ:
2018- վարչապետի պաշտոնում առաջադրված միակ թեկնածու, «Իմ քայլը» շարժման առաջնորդ, ընդդիմադիր «Ելք» խմբակցության ղեկավար Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը չի ստացել բավարար թվով ձայներ և չի դարձել վարչապետ: Իշխող ՀՀԿ-ից ընդամենը մեկ պատգամավոր է կողմ քվեարկել Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին:
ԱՇԽԱՐՀ
305-Հին Հռոմի կառավարիչներ Դիոկլիտանը և Մակսիմիլիանը հրաժարվել են իշխանությունից։
1328-համաձայն խաղաղության պայմանագրի, Անգլիան ճանաչել է Շոտլանդիայի անկախությունը։
1682-Լյուդովիկոս 14-րդը մեծ շուքով բացել է Փարիզի աստղադիտարանը։
1707-միավորվել են Անգլիան և Շոտլանդիան՝ առաջացել է Մեծ Բրիտանիան։
1786-Վիեննայում մեծ հաջողությամբ կայացել է Մոցարտի «Ֆիգարոյի ամուսնությունը» օպերայի պրեմիերան։
1873-մահացել է անգլիացի հետազոտող Դավիթ Լիվինգստոնը։
1884-Չիկագոյում սկսվել է 10 հարկանի շենքի՝ աշխարհում առաջին երկնաքերի շինարարությունը։
1890-առաջին անգամ մայիսմեկյան տոները նշել են Ավստրո-Հունգարիայի, Բելգիայի, Գերմանիայի, Դանիայի, Իսպանիայի և եվրոպական այլ երկրների բանվորները։
1899-վաճառակետերում հայտնվել են ասպիրինի առաջին դեղահաբերը։
1919-բավարական կարմիր բանակը պարտվել է, ընկել է Բավարական Խորհրդային Հանրապետությունը։
1924-Խարկովում արտադրվել է առաջին խորհրդային թրթուրավոր տրակտորը՝ «Կոմունարը»։
1925-Կիպրոսը հայտարարվել է բրիտանական թագի գաղութ։
1929-ծնվել է կինոյի և թատրոնի լեհ դերասան Ստանիսլավ Միկուլսկին՝ Հանս Քլոսի դերակատարը։
1937-ավարտվել է Մոսկվա-Վոլգա ջրանցքի կառուցումը։
1948- Ստեղծվել է Կորեայի Ժողովրդադեմոկրատական Հանրապետությունը։
1960-Սվերդլովսկի տարածքում խփվել է ամերիկյան ՈՒ-2 հետախույզ-օդանավը, որի օդաչուն էր Ֆրենսիս Պաուերսը։
1993-Շրի-Լանկայի Կոլոմբո քաղաքում ահաբեկչական գործողության արդյունքում զոհվել է նախագահ Ռանասինխ Պրեմադասան։
