Կյանքի ռիթմն այսօր մրցավազք է։ Յուրաքանչյուր մարդ ձգտում է ունենալ լավ աշխատանք, իդեալական արտաքին տեսք և այլն։ Այս ամենից հետո անգամ ժամանակ չի մնում կանգ առնելու, հանգստանալու, խորը շունչ քաշելու համար և մի պահ շուրջը նայելու և գնահատելու այն գեղեցկությունը, որը շրջապատում է մեզ։ Շրջապատի և մարդու ներդաշնակությունն իրականում շատ հազվադեպ է հանդիպում, և լավ է, որ այն գոնե առաջանում է թեկուզ 83 տարեկանում։ Այս ամենից հետո դուք հաստատ մտածելու բան կունենաք։

 

«Թանկագին Բերտա,

 

Ես սկսել եմ ավելի շատ ժամանակ հատկացնել կարդալուն և քիչ՝ մաքրությանը։ Ես հիանում եմ իմ այգով և չեմ շտապում պոկել բոլոր մոլախոտերը։ Ես որոշել եմ կրճատել աշխատանքային ժամանակը և տրամադրել այն հարազատ և մոտիկ մարդկանց։

 

Կյանքը տրված է վայելելու համար, այլ ոչ թե որ մեզ զոհաբերենք։ Ես ամեն ինչ վերանայել եմ և գնահատում եմ յուրաքանչյուր պահ։ Այժմ տան թանկարժեք սպասքը չի սպասում հատուկ հյուրերի, քանի որ հիմա իմ կյանքում ամեն պահ յուրահատուկ է՝ լինի դա մաքրություն կամ սիրելի ծաղկի աճեցման գործընթաց։

 

Ես գնում եմ շուկա ամենագեղեցիկ հագուստով։ Խնամված և հաջողակ կնոջ կերպարը թույլ է տալիս ինձ ավելի հեշտությամբ հրաժեշտ տալու գումարին։ Ես ուզում եմ բուրել թանկ արժեցող օծանելիքի բույրով ամեն օր, քանի որ իմ կյանքի ցանկացած առիթ կարևոր է ինձ համար, անգամ բանկ գնալը։

 

Ես մոռացել եմ «մեկ ուրիշ անգամ» արտահայտությունը։ Այժմ ինձ համար իդեալական վայրը և իդեալական պահը լինում են միայն այստեղ և այս պահին։ Այն ամենը, ինչ ինձ հարկավոր է, կամ ես ուզում եմ, անպայման անում եմ։

 

Ես չեմ մտածում, ինչպես իրենց կպահեին ուրիշները՝ իմանալով, որ հաջորդ օրը նրանք չեն լինելու։ Ոչ ոք չի տեսել մահվանը և մենք պետք է ապրենք առանց այդ ամենի մասին մտածելու։

 

Դա այն է, ինչը ես չեմ հասցրել… Ես զղջում եմ այն բանի համար, որ իմ հարազատներն ինձնից բարի խոսքեր չեն լսել, որոնք ես ցանկացել եմ ասել։ Ես հազվադեպ եմ սիրո խոսքեր ասել ամուսնուս ու ծնողներիս, և դա ինձ այժմ  հանգիստ չի տալիս։

 

Այժմ ես չեմ տնտեսում, հատկապես իմ վրա։ Եթե ծախսելն ինձ պարգևում է ժպիտ և լավ տրամադրություն, ապա ինչո՞ւ չանեմ այդպես։

 

Ամեն օր ես հասկանում եմ, որ հենց այդ օրը յուրահատուկ է և գեղեցիկ իր յուրահատկությամբ։ Քանի ես ապրում եմ և շնչում, ամեն պահ իմ կյանքում համարվում է անգին նվեր»։
