Արաբկիր վարչական շրջանում մայիսի լույս 7-ի գիշերը ավազակային հարձակում էր կատարվել: Դրա մասին ոստիկանություն ահազանգել է Կոմիտասի պողոտայում գտնվող սուպերմարկետներից մեկի աշխատակիցը: Նրա փոխանցմամբ՝ բժշկական դիմակով դեմքը քողարկած և ձեռնոցներով մի երիտասարդ մտել է սուպերմարկետում գործող տարադրամի փոխանակման կետ, դանակով և նռնակի նմանվող առարկայով սպառնացել ու գումար պահանջել: Հարձակվողի պահանջները չէին կատարել և նա, ոչինչ չստանալով, փախել էր: 

 

Դեպքի առթիվ տարածքային նախաքննական մարմնում քրեական գործ հարուցվեց: Արաբկիրի ոստիկանները սկսեցին հետախուզական լայնածավալ միջոցառումները՝ հանցագործությունը կատարած անձին հայտնաբերելու ուղղությամբ:

 

Դեպքի հաջորդ օրը՝ մայիսի 8-ին, քրեական հետախույզները ոստիկանության Արաբկիրի բաժին բերման ենթարկեցին իրենց օպերատիվ տեսադաշտում հայտնված երևանաբնակ մի երիտասարդի:

 

Բերման ենթարկվածին ոստիկանները ներկայացրին դեպքի նախաքննությունը վարող քննչական բաժին, որտեղ նա որպես կասկածյալ ձերբակալվեց:

 

Ոստիկանության և քննչական կոմիտեի ծառայողները շարունակում են հետախուզական միջոցառումներն ու քննչական գործողությունները ՝ դեպքի բոլոր հանգամանքները պարզելու, ինչպես և հանցագործության գործիք դանակն ու նռնականման առարկան հայտնաբերելու ուղղությամբ: Կատարվում է նախաքննություն:
