Բնական է, որ համաշխարհային մամուլը ևս ուշադրությամբ հետևում է Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի դատավարությանը՝ կապված 2008 թվականի Մարտի 1- դեպքերի հետ։

Թեմային անդրադարձել է նաև աշխարհի խոշորագույն լրատվական գործակալություններից «Ֆրանս պրես»-ը։ Անդրադառնալով թեմային՝ գործակալությունը նշում է, որ դատավարության օրը Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի տասնյակ աջակիցներ բողոքի ակցիա են արել, որոնք ուղեկցվել են «Քոչարյանը քաղբանտարկյալ է» և «քաղաքական վենդետա» գրություններով պաստառներով։

«Մոխրագույն գործնական կոստյում հագած՝ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանն անխռով տեսք ուներ․ նա ժպտաց իր աջակիցներին, ովքեր «ազատություն» բացականչեցին»,- գրում է լրատվամիջոցը՝ հավելելով, որ ՀՀ նախկին նախագահը համարում է, որ իր հետ կատարվող գործընթացն ապօրինություն է, և ՀՀ ներկայիս իշխանությունն իրեն մեղավոր է նշանակել, իսկ դատական համակարգն այժմ ծառայում է քաղաքական ղեկավարին։

«Ֆրանս Պրես»-ը մեջբերում է Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի փաստաբան Հայկ Ալումյանի խոսքերը, ով նշել է, որ մոտակա նպատակը Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանին նախնական կալանքից ազատելն է։ Փաստաբանը հավելել է, որ դատավարությունը կարող է մի քանի տարի տևել։

Գործակալությունը հավելում է․ «Քոչարյանը պնդում է, որ Հայաստանի իշխանությունները ոգևորված չեն՝ պարզելու, թե ում վրա է 10 զոհերի պատասխանատվությունը իշխանության համար անցանկալի փաստերի բացահայտումների վախի պատճառով»։
