20 ցնցող փաստ ծխելու մասին
LIFEՄի սիգարետ ծխելու համար ծխողը առնվազն 5 րոպե է ծախսում իր կյանքից։
Պերուական ագուարունա բնիկները ծխախոտ օգտագործելիս հալյուցինագեն նյութեր են օգտագործել հոգնաներում։
«Ծխել» տերմինը, որպես այդպիսին, երևան է եկել միայն 17-րդ դարի վերջին, մինչ այդ ավելի հաճախ անվանել են «չոր հարբեցում»։
Մեզի մեջ հայտնաբերված միզանյութը սիգարետներին է ավելացվում լրացուցիչ բուրմունքի համար։
Հաճախ շաքար ու կակաո են հավելում սիգարին, սակայն շատ ծխողներ, որոնք տառապում են շաքարային դիաբետով, այդ մասին չգիտեն։
Բեն Ջոնսոնը՝ Վերածննդի հեղինակը, պնդում էր, որ ծխելը «սատանայի արտաշնչումն» է։
Ացտեկները ծխախոտը համարում էին Ցիխուակոաթլ աստվածուհու մարմնավորումը, որի մարմինը պիտի որ ամբողջովին բաղկացած լիներ ծխախոտից։
Սիգարետներն ամենաշատ վաճառվող ապրանքն են աշխարհում։
Ներկայումս տարեկան ավելի քան 5,5 տրիլիոն սիգարետ է արտադրվում ամբողջ աշխարհում։ Սիգարետները եկամուտ ստանալու հրապուրիչ աղբյուր են պետության համար, որովհետև բնակչության շրջանում շատ են ծխողները։
Բրիտանական հարցումը ցույց է տվել, որ կանանց մոտավորապես 99%-ը չի էլ կասկածում ծխելու և արգանդի վզիկի քաղցկեղի կապի մասին։
Ծխելու մակարդակը բարձր է այն մարդկանց շրջանում, ովքեր ապրում են աղքատության մեջ, և նրանց մոտ, ովքեր քիչ կրթված են։
Ամբրան (կետերի փսխուքը) սիգարներին ավելացվում է բուրմունքի համար։
Ծխախոտի ծխի մեջ պարունակվող բազմահազար քիմիական նյութերից 50-ը առաջացնում են քաղցկեղ, ինչն ապացուցվել է գիտականորեն։
Ծխող հղի կանայք, ավելի հավանական է, որ կծննդաբերեն ոչ միայն նվազ քաշով, այլև ագրեսիվ երեխայի՝ դրանից բխող հետևանքներով։
Նիկոտինն իր անունը ստացել է ի պատիվ Ժան Նիկոյի՝ Պորտուգալիայում Ֆրանսիայի դեսպանի, որը 16-րդ դարի կեսերին բերեց ծխախոտն ու ֆրանսիական դատարանում ծխելու սովորույթը՝ որպես բուժական միջոց։
Ենթադրվում է, որ ծխախոտը Եվրոպա է բերել Ռամոն Պեյն քահանան, որը Քրիստափոր Կոլումբոսին Ամերիկա էր ուղեկցել։
Միացյալ Նահանգներում չծխողների շրջանում թոքի քաղցկեղից մահերի ավելի քան 3000 դեպքը կապված է պասիվ ծխելու հետ։
Երկու մարդ, որոնք մասնակցել են Marlboro Man-ի հայտնի գովազդին, մահացել են թոքի քաղցկեղից։ Ինչից հետո Marlboro սիգարետները ստացել են «կովբոյներ սպանող» անունը։
Ֆրանսիացի մարդաբան և ազգագրագետ Կլոդ Լևի Սթրոսը պնդում է, որ ծխելն օգնում է ամրապնդել անձնական հարաբերությունները մարդկանց հանրույթում և հաճախ որպես սոցիալական հարմարվողականության ինդիկատոր է ծառայում։
Ծխելը թողնելուց անմիջապես հետո 20 րոպեի ընթացքում ձեր արյան ճնշումը վերադառնում է բնականոն ռիթմի։ Մեկ տարվա ընթացքում սրտի նոպայի հավանականությունը կիսով չափ կնվազի։
