Հանրապետության նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը մայիսի 29-ին ընդունել է Ֆրանսիայի Բուշ դյու Ռոն դեպարտամենտի (Պրովանս Ալպ Կոտ դ’Ազյուրի շրջան) խորհրդի նախագահ Մարտին Վասալի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Նախագահ Սարգսյանը բարի գալուստ է մաղթել հյուրերին՝ ընդգծելով, որ Ֆրանսիան Հայաստանի և հայ ժողովրդի համար առանձնահատուկ երկիր է: Նա նշանակալի է համարել Մեծ եղեռնից մազապուրծ հայերին Ֆրանսիայի ու ֆրանսիացի ժողովրդի ցուցաբերած աջակցությունը:

Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին Հայաստանի Հանրապետության նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, նշելով, որ հայ և ֆրանսիացի ժողովուրդների համագործակցությունը դարերի պատմություն ունի՝ նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ այդ ջերմ բարեկամությունը պահպանվում է նաև այսօր, և դրա վկայություններից մեկն էլ Բուշ դյու Ռոն դեպարտամենտի հետ սերտ փոխգործակցությունն է:

Մարտին Վասալը տեղեկացրել է, որ Հայաստանի մի շարք մարզերի հետ հաջողությամբ համագործակցում են տնտեսական, սոցիալական, առողջապահական և մշակութային ոլորտներում, և իր այցի նպատակն է ծանոթանալ ստանձնած հանձնառությունների շրջանակում կատարված աշխատանքներին:

Նախագահը գոհունակություն է հայտնել Հայաստանի և Բուշ դյու Ռոնի միջև ձևավորված համագործակցության մակարդակից և հատկապես նշել այդ գործակցության շրջանակում Գորիսում բացված սրտաբանական հիվանդանոցի նշանակությունը մարզի բնակչության համար. «Ձեր աջակցությամբ հազարավոր կյանքեր են փրկվում, և մենք իսկապես շատ բարձր ենք գնահատում այդ նախաձեռնությունը»:

Կողմերը կարևորել են Հայաստանի և Բուշ դյու Ռոն դեպարտամենտի միջև համագործակցության զարգացումն ու խորացումը մասնավորապես առողջապահության, ինչպես նաև գիտահետազոտական, կրթական և մշակութային ոլորտներում:

Մարտին Վասալը բարձր է գնահատել Պրովանսի հայ համայնքի դերը այդ տարծաշրջանի զարգացման գործում: «Պրովանսն առանց հայերի Պրովանս չէր լինի»,- ընդգծել է նա:
