Հունիսի 14-ին ՀՀ արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության փրկարար ծառայության տնօրեն, փ/ծ գնդապետ Արտակ Նահապետյանն ընդունեց ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության դեպարտամենտի վտանգների նվազեցման գործակալության (ՊՎՆԳ) հայաստանյան գրասենյակի նորանշանակ ղեկավար, մայոր Աննալեյս Հանթերին: Նրան ուղեկցում էր ՊՎՆԳ հայաստանյան գրասենյակի նախկին ղեկավար մայոր Սայլաս Գասեթը:

Հանդիպման նպատակն էր քննարկել «Կենսաբանական վտանգի նվազեցման» ծրագրի իրականացման հնարավորությունը Հայաստանում, ինչպես նաև գնահատել ԱԻՆ ՓԾ կարողությունները քիմիական, կենսաբանական, ճառագայթային և միջուկային զենքի կիրառմամբ միջադեպերին արձագանքելու և միջադեպերի ազդեցության հետևանքները կառավարելու գործում: Ծրագիրը կնպաստի Հայաստանում կենսաբանական սպառնալիքների հայտնաբերման, կանխարգելման և արձագանքման կարողությունների զարգացմանը:

Ողջունելով հյուրերին և շնորհակալություն հայտնելով Հայաստանին աջակցելու պատրաստակամության համար՝ ՓԾ տնօրեն Ա. Նահապետյանը նշեց, որ ԱԻՆ անձնակազմը շատ ուրախ է և պատրաստ շարունակելու ամերիկյան կողմի հետ ծրագրի իրականացումը: ՓԾ տնօրենը կարևորեց ԱՄՆ հարուստ փորձի ներդրման հնարավորությունները Հայաստանում:

Աննալեյս Հանթերը նշեց, որ ծրագրի շրջանակներում ԱՄՆ կողմը պատրաստակամ է ներդրումներ անել` Հայաստանի կարողությունները զարգացնելու համար: Նա հույս հայտնեց, որ մայոր Սայլաս Գասեթի ղեկավարման ընթացքում գրանցված ձեռքբերումներն էլ ավելի կամրապնդվեն, և ծրագրի շրջանակներում նոր դրական արդյունքներ կարձանագրվեն:

Նշենք, որ ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության դեպարտամենտը նմանատիպ ծրագրեր իրականացրել է հետխորհրդային մի շարք երկրներում: Ծրագրի շրջանակներում 2015 թ. Հայաստանին հատկացվել է «Տոյոտա» մակնիշի օպերատիվ մեքենա, որը կահավորված է քիմիական, կենսաբանական, ճառագայթային և միջուկային սպառնալիքներին արձագանքելու ու կենսաբանական նմուշառման համար: Ծրագրի շնորհիվ Հայաստանի մասնագետները վերապատրաստվել են բարձրակարգ մասնագետների կողմից, մասնակցել են միջազգային գիտաժողովների և դասընթացների` հնարավորություն ունենալով ծանոթանալու ոլորտի միջազգային նորագույն ձեռքբերումներին:
