Նոր Զելանդիայում մեկնարկել Է պետական դրոշի փոխարինման շուրջ համազգային հանրաքվեն

Նոր Զելանդիայում նոյեմբերի 20-ին սկսվել Է պետական դրոշի փոխարինման շուրջ երկու հանրաքվեներից առաջինը: Դրա մասնակից Է ցանկացել դառնալ ավելի քան երեք միլիոն մարդ (երկրի չափահաս բնակիչների 90 տոկոսից ավելին), որոնք դրա համար հատուկ գրանցում են անցել:
Նոյեմբերի 20-ին եւ առաջիկա օրերին նրանք փոստով կստանան պաշտոնական քվեաթերթիկը՝ պետական նոր խորհրդանիշի հինգ այլընտրական տարբերակներով եւ «Եթե Նոր Զելանդիայի դրոշը փոխվի, տարբերակներից ո՞րը դուք կնախընտրեիք» հարցով:
Քվեաթերթիկները պետք Է լրացվեն եւ կազմակերպիչներին ուղարկվեն դեկտեմբերի 8-ից ոչ ուշ: Հանրաքվեի արդյունքները կհայտարարվեն դեկտեմբերի 15-ին. դրա հաղթողը կդառնա երկրորդ հանրաքվեի մասնակիցը, որը պլանավորված Է 2016 թվականի մարտին, որի ընթացքում նորզելանդացիները պետք Է ընտրություն կատարեն դրա եւ գործող պետական խորհրդանիշի միջեւ:
Նոր Զելանդիայի պետական դրոշը պաշտոնապես հաստատվել Է 1902 թվականին: Այն ունի կապույտ ֆոն, որի վրա պատկերված են բրիտանական Union Jack-ը վերին ձախ անկյունում եւ չորս կարմիր հնգաթեւ աստղեր, որոնք խորհրդանշում են Հարավային խաչ համաստեղության առավել պայծառ աստղերը: Հոկտեմբերի վերջին երկրում անցկացված հարցման մասնակիցների 61 տոկոսը հայտարարել Է, որ ավելի լավ կլինի, եթե ամեն ինչ մնա այնպես, ինչպես կա, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
