Սեւանա լիճն այս տարի կրկին ծաղկել է, եւ դա ցուցանիշ է, որ լիճը գնում է ճահճացման։ Այս մասին NEWS.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց բնապահպան Կարինե Դանիելյանը։ Բնապահպանի խոսքով՝ եթե այս պրոցեսը խորանա, ջուրը ոռոգման համար հնարավոր չի լինելու օգտագործել. «Դա մեր վատ վերաբերմունքի դրսեւորումն է։ Լճի մոտակայքի բնակավայրերի կեղտաջրերը լցվում են լիճ։ 90-ականների սկզբին, երբ էներգետիկ ճգնաժամ եղավ, շարքից դուրս եկան մաքրման կայանները, իսկ հետո այդ կայանները թալանվեցին եւ վերականգնելու հնարավորություն չեղավ»։

Բնապահպանն ասաց, որ հիմա մի քանի կայան կառուցվել է, բայց դա քիչ է, քանի որ լճի մյուս հատվածները բացարձակապես չեն մաքրվում։ Նա նշեց, որ 1964 թվականից ի վեր լիճը պարբերաբար կանաչել է, բայց ոչ այս մասշտաբի. «Այս վերջին 2 տարիներին բավականին հաճախ եւ լուրջ չափերի է հասնում խնդիրը։ Լճի մակարդակը բարձրացրինք, դա լավ էր, բայց ափերը չմաքրեցինք, եւ՛ կանաչ տարածքները, եւ՛ աղբավայրերը մտան ջրի տակ»։

Բնապահպանի խոսքով՝ անցյալ անգամ, երբ լիճը կրկին ծաղկեց, պարզվեց՝ ջրում կային տոքսիկ նյութեր, որը թունավոր է. «Եթե այդպես շարունակվի, իհարկե, լողալը կարգելվի։ Այս ամենը կանխելու համար կարծում եմ, որ պետք է շտապ ստեղծել մասնագետների հանձնաժողով, որոնք այդ խնդրին հստակ լուծում կառաջարկեն»։
