Պլաստիկ փաթեթավորմամբ որևէ մթերք կամ ըմպելիք գնելիս,անպայման ուշադիր պետք է լինել շշի կամ տուփի հատակին: Հենց այստեղ է գտնվում պլաստիկ նյութի մասին ամբողջ տեղեկությունը:

Յուրաքանչյուր շշի վրա գրված է այս նշանակություններից որևէ մեկը:

PET – մեկ անգամյան օգտագործման շշերն են: Դրանք կարողեն հեղուկի մեջ արտաբերել ծանր մետաղներ, որոնք ազդում են հորմոնալ բալանսի վրա:

HDP կամ HDPE – սա բավականին լավ որակի նյութ է, որ գրեթե ոչ մի վնասակար երևույթներ չի թողնում: Մասնագետները խորհուրդ են տալիս գնել հատկապես այս շշերով ըմպելիքներ և ջուր:

PVC կամ  V – այս նյութի հետանքները լինում են նվազագույն երկու վտանգավոր տեսակի: Երկուսն էլ վատ են անրդադառնում հորմոնալ բալանսի վրա: Այն հիչմնականում օգտագործվում է բուսական յուղի և խաղալիքների փաթեթավորման համար:

LDPE – սա հիմնականում օգտագործվում է շշերի արտադրման համար: Այն նյութեր չի արտադրում ջրի մեջ, որ  շշալցված է: Բայց այն անվնաս է միայն ջրի դեպքում, ավելի լավ է այս փաթեթավորմամբ մթերք չգնել:

PP – համեմատաբար անվնաս է և օգտագործվում էյոգուրտի, կաթնամթերքի փաթեթավորման համար:

PS – հիմնականում օգտագործվում է արագ սննդի փաթեթների և սուրճի մեկանգամյա բաժակների համար: Ջերմաստիճանի բարձրացման դեպքում կարող է վնասակար նյութեր արտադրել: Այն բավականին էժան է, սակայն այնքան էլ պիտանի չէ մթերքի կամ ըմպելիքի պահպանման համար:

PC կամ առանց հատուկ նշանների պլաստմասա

Սա ամենավտանգավոր տեսակն է, որ արտադրվում է մթերքի փաթեթավորման համար: Սրա մեջ ջուր կամ ուտելիք պահելը վտանգավոր է , քանի որ այն արտադրում է քիմիական այնպիսի նյութ, որը ոչնչացնում է էստրոգեն հորմոնը: Եվ ընդհանրապես նախընտրելի է գնել ապակե տարայով մթերք կամ ըմպելիք, քան որևէ պլաստիկից:
