Երեւանի քաղաքապետ Հայկ Մարությանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը ժամանել է Ստեփանակերտ՝ մասնակցելու Արցախի Հանրապետության մայրաքաղաքում մեկնարկած Համահայկական յոթերորդ խաղերի բացման արարողությանը։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Երեւանի քաղաքապետարանի լրատվության ծառայությունը։ Ստեփանակերտի քաղաքապետ Սուրեն Գրիգորյանի հետ միասին Հայրենիքի համար կյանքը զոհած հերոսների հուշահամալիրում ծաղիկներ խոնարհելուց հետո քաղաքապետ Մարությանը հանդիպել է Համահայկական յոթերորդ խաղերում Երեւանը ներկայացնող մարզիկների ու մարզիչների հետ։ Ողջունելով Երեւանի հավաքականի անդամներին՝ քաղաքապետը հույս է հայտնել, որ Երեւանի հավաքականը պատվով կներկայացնի համայն հայության մայրաքաղաքը խաղերում։

«Առողջ ապրելակերպը մեր ազգային նոր վերելքի քաղաքականության կարեւոր բաղադրիչներից է։ Թեեւ Համահայկական խաղերը ավելի շատ համախմբման, իրար տեսնելու, իրար հետ շփվելու առիթ են, քան զուտ մարզական մրցություն, այնուհանդերձ, ես կարեւորում եմ մարզական մրցակցության ոգին եւ հույս ունեմ, որ ինչպես նախորդ խաղերին, հիմա էլ դուք ամենաբարձր արդյունքները ցույց կտաք», - ասել է քաղաքապետը։

Հավաքականի անդամները քաղաքապետի հետ զրուցել են մայրաքաղաքի մարզամշակութային կյանքին ու քաղաքի զարգացման այլ ոլորտներին վերաբերող խնդիրների մասին։ Այնուհետեւ Ստեփանակերտի քաղաքապետարանում քաղաքապետ Մարությանը հանդիպել է իր գործընկեր Սուրեն Գրիգորյանին։ Զրուցակիցները փաստել են, որ Համահայկական խաղերի անցկացումը Արցախում լուրջ խթան կդառնա երկու մայրաքաղաքների հարաբերությունների զարգացման համար եւ ավելի ճանաչելի կդարձնի Արցախը սփյուռքի տարբեր համայնքներում ու, ընդհանրապես, հայկական աշխարհում։ Հայկ Մարությանը եւ Սուրեն Գրիգորյանը քննարկել են նաեւ համատեղ ծրագրերի ընթացքը։ 2019թ. օգոստոսի 5-18-ն Ստեփանակերտում կայանալիք Համահայկական ամառային 7-րդ խաղերի պաշտոնական բացումն ու մի շարք մարզաձեւերի մրցաշարերը կընթանան Ստեփանակերտում, այնուհետեւ օգոստոսի 9-ից մրցումները կշարունակվեն Երեւանում: Երեւանի մարզական պատվիրակությունը, որն ամենամեծն է (285 մարզիկ), խաղերին կմասնակցի 19 հավաքական թիմով՝ 17 մարզաձեւերում:
