Օգոստոսի 12-ը Երիտասարդության միջազգային օրն է
SOCIETYԱմեն տարի օգոստոսի 12-ին նշվում է Երիտասարդության միջազգային օրը (International Youth Day)` նպատակ ունենալով հիշեցնել աշխարհի զարգացման եւ կառուցման գործում երիտասարդների դերի, ինչպես նաեւ նրանց առջեւ կանգնած ամենօրյա խնդիրների մասին, գրում է Calend.ru-ն:
Այն հիմնադրվել է ՄԱԿ ԳԱ կողմից 1999 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 17-ին՝ Լիսաբոնում 1998 թվականի օգոստոսի 12-ին անցկացված երիտասարդության հարցերով նախարարների համաշխարհային համաժողովի առաջարկով:
Այսօր աշխարհում ռեկորդային թվով երիտասարդներ են ապրում՝ մոտավորապես 1,8 միլիարդ 10-24 տարեկան երեխաներ եւ դեռահասներ: 10 երեխայից յուրաքանչյուրը գտնվում է հակամարտության գոտում, ավելի քան կես միլիարդն աղքատ է, իսկ նրանցից 24 միլիոնը դպրոց չի հաճախում: Ամեն օր շուրջ 30 հազար երեխա մահանում է աղքատությունից:
Երիտասարդները կազմում են աշխարհի աշխատուժի մեկ քառորդը, այդուհանդերձ, գործազուրկների կեսը հենց երիտասարդներն են: Զբաղվածության գործակալությունները դժվարանում են ապահովել կայուն զբաղվածություն լավ հեռանկարով երիտասարդներին, բացառությամբ բարձր որակավորում ունեցող մասնագետներին։
Ամեն տարի Երիտասարդության միջազգային օրվան նվիրված բազմաբնույթ միջոցառումները, այդ թվում՝ տարատեսակ համերգներ, ցուցահանդեսներ, համաժողովներ, սեմինարներ, ֆլեշմոբեր եւ այլն, անցնում են որոշակի կարգախոսի ներքո, օրինակ, «Այժմ եւ ապագայի համար․ երիտասարդության գործունեությունը կայուն զարգացման համար», «Երիտասարդությունը հասարակության մեջ, որը հիմնված է սերունդների փոխգործունեության վրա», «Աղքատության դեմ համատեղ պայքար․երիտասարդությունն ու աղքատության վերացումը», «Երիտասարդությունն ու հոգեկան առողջությունը», «Երիտասարդությունն ու քաղաքացիական մասնակցությունը», «Երիտասարդությունը կառուցում է աշխարհը», «Անվտանգ հարթակներ երիտասարդների համար» եւ այլն։
